    Pomona airguns

Steve chopped and choked several R9/HW95 barrels for me many years ago and did a great job.

    Old man left behind

Welcome to the old timers of the world. One app that I've found to be invaluable is a "password vault" that can hold all my passwords along with other data. There is no way I could remember all the passwords I have to deal with and although mine requires an extra step -- I find it invalueable...

    Pellet pouch for shooting afield.

I use a dual pocket coin purse I modified to hang from my neck using a lanyard allowing it to stay vertical enough it don't dump contents when I bend over. One pocket for pellets and one for magazines. I don't recall where I bought it but Amazon has many styles and sizes.

    Barrel wobble

Welcome to AGN. I feel any barrel wiggle when a break barrel is locked up after cocking it is unacceptable. That said, I would suggest making sure the screws holding the action in the stock be checked to make sure they are tight and not allowing the whole action assembly to move while testing...

    R9 Horizontal stringing

First off, welcome to AGN. The R9/HW95 is my favorite springer and of all the airguns I've owned these are the ones I will keep. Regarding shim thickness -- I dug through my stash and measured 10 different shims which ranged in thickness from .004-.005" and as stated earlier they don't wear...

    Shortest springer air rifle

As beerthief mentioned, shortning a barrel on a break barrel springer is an option. The owner of Pomona Airguns (Steve) can chop and choke a barrel. I just called to verify that he is still in business since he moved in 2021 from Calif to Nev ( https://www.pomona-airguns.com ). Steve did say he...

Is my mind right on compressors

I stayed away from PCP's because of the costs involved getting the air supplies to support it. I eventually got a used tank and the local dive shop would fill it so I started the journey down the PCP path. That used tank needed to be recertified and it failed that test so at this point I had to...

Ballistics software Mac compatible... ChairGun is gone.

I feel the same regarding ChairgunPro. I use it mostly to get an idea of what a particular gun does with various pellets before going afield. I am under the impression that "Java" is required for it to function on Windows10 and that's the only reason I have Java installed on my desktop PC...

    Pellets

You may want to get a sampler box of varied pellets instead of buying full tins that may or may not be your guns preferred pellet. Straight Shooters makes such sample boxes and before I posted this I went to their site and was surprised to see he is retiring soon. He lists what is in each sample...

88 CF carrying / field kit???

When I first got my air tank I needed a way to carry it to the field and picked up a bag made for that but soon found it had limitations in many ways. I saw a post on an airgun forum that used a tool box and I thought that was a great idea. I took some measurments and went to Home Depot where I...

    A Living Room Pellet Trap

Since I got into airguns some 15 years ago, I've lived in a city where shooting outside is not allowed and in a triplex with neighbors that share common walls. My airguns are quiet enough I could shoot indoors and I had an ottoman type foot stool that had a storage area inside. I modified that...
