Slugs like jsb and h&n are made in a 2 piece body die. Those certainly have the recipe for being out of round just like pellets. I have some knockouts that are horribly out of round. Slugs made in a single piece body die should be as round as they can get since the dies are turned in one...

The intent of the sportsman class was to have factory produced slug guns go against factory produced Rimfire with no cost limit. That turned out to be ridiculously optimistic on the airgun side. Not a single factory slug gun in 4 years has been able to keep up with even the low cost factory...

That's good thinking. Much more fair to shoot the exact same scores using match Rimfire instead. 😂 A true sportsman 😀

Lou's "pellet" gun has a barrel that can shoot both....but thus far has not found the magic setup with pellets. Matt shot a magical pellet 750 last match with the same barrel but struggled today...and has not found the magical setup with slugs. It's a cruel world when you want it all. 😀

I can honestly say I have never looked at whatever direction anything is pointing to tell me which way to hold....even though I had some flags that came with arrows. I think it's instinctive enough that no one needs arrows. Mike

There is still way more luck required to win than I care for. Most of the luck needed is because of the dumb one card final format. If it was a 6 card tournament the best shooter would always win....but they don't have time to run a real 6 card tournament because those events are primarily...

The attached seat issue is that every time you move the bench is also going to move.

I would omit the attached seat part. Most regret attached seats if they have ever shot at a bench without them.

30 cal aea pellets. 25 shot groups on sighters.

That was the heaviest I've ever been at about 265...and my entire lumbar region is fused. It's likely doable for anyone that tries.
