FWIW... a friend of mine had a 30 caliber boss and I shot it a couple times and was surprised that the entire site picture disappeared during the shot and I had to refind the target every time. The gun was fairly accurate, but that jumpy part was annoying enough that I didn't wanna shoot it...

Yes, heavy pellets are going to blow 3-4x as much.

Still doing some fine tuning but this is how the targets are looking in a large variety of wind and conditions.

I took a shot about every 10-15 seconds and adjusted for what I felt that particular wind needed. My range of hold was 9 ring to nearly 6 ring and up and down about a ring. The wind was not consistent... it went higher and lower than what the meter was showing when I sampled it. Mike

You will have a hard time getting anyone to come, I think. There is no club level foundation for 100y pellet matches. The whole pyramid is inverted. Most of the participants only shoot one 100y "match" per year. Very few are interested in it enough (without the money or glamour) to shoot...

I have no interest in the 1 card final 100y pretendrest matches. Looks like Pyramyd is gonna take a step closer to a real match by having a 2 card final with bench rotation. I applaud that, but still a ways to go. Mike

The money was for a silhouette side shoot that was in addition to the FT match. It was just an extra fun thing. N50 BR gives out about 5000-8000$ in prize money every year at the N50 Nationals. There is never any trouble with cheaters. Mike
