    Break barrel safety

I find that, although I love my one Chinese side lever, that it is more difficult to load it while holding that side lever, than a typical break barrel. But I'm not going to trust it not to bite the end of my finger off when inserting a pellet.

    Break barrel safety

Watching videos on the 'net, I'm surprised how many people I see break a gun down then load a pellet without holding the barrel to prevent it from slamming closed, potentially taking off a finger or thumb, or damaging the gun. I've never had it happen but that's because I ALWAYS hold the barrel.

    Other Today's pawnshop finds

Yeah, I looked at a Winchester the other day. They wanted $100. I passed.

    Other Today's pawnshop finds

I hit the three local pawn shops this morning. Here's what I got, cheap at one of them. A Gamo Varmit and an American Classic. This makes four, I think, of the 1377 style guns I have. The target pic shows the first three shots I fired with the rifle, without touching the scope.

    Crosman CROSMAN M4-177

I suppose someone had taken this gun apart before me because there are "slots" for two of the weights, but only one weight. If I had been more confident that what I was doing would fix the gun I would have done a little more cleaning and lubricating before I reassembled it. But it will be ok.

    Crosman CROSMAN 150

Difficult to photograph but the rear sight has been filed down lower than the sliding breech cover in front of it. It is not possible to see the front sight and the rear sight at the same time. I will try putting a washer under the rear, if the screw is long enough. If not I can easily make...

    Crosman CROSMAN M4-177

At a "local" flea market yesterday I bought this Crosman M4-177 cheap because it wouldn't shoot. I took it apart last night and removed 3 stuck pellets from the barrel. It shoots good now.

    Crosman CROSMAN 150

I shot it several times, with pellets. It shoots good, but I didn't take time to sight it in. It appears that someone has filed the rear sight down beyond it's usefulness so I will replace it.

    Crosman CROSMAN 150

I bought this Crosman 150 earlier today at a local pawnshop. I had been watching it for about a year. I installed a CO2 cartridge and fired it without a pellet a couple of times. It seems fine.

    12 oz Co2 quality?

I don't remember which video I was watching. The vid was about a particular Co2 gun and the video creator made the comments about Co2 as a side note. I had never seen a video by him before. Chances are he didn't know what he was talking about.

    12 oz Co2 quality?

I was watching a video on YouTube a couple of days ago and a statement made caused me to wonder about something that I had never considered. The video creator made the comment that Daisy 12 oz Co2 cartridges, in his opinion, are better quality than Crosman cartridges. He says Daisys are more...

I have an MP40 and I love it. It uses a lot of Co2 and BBs very quickly though.

    Crosman 1968 Crosman 760 PowerMaster

I had one in the late sixties. Someone broke into my house in about 1982 and stole it and my Crosman 38T that was still in the original box.
