Not really. Everyone knows that riding 200mph in an urban area is dangerous. However, people do not know how easy it is to get contaminated with lead from shooting/doing chrony job indoors. That is the purpose I created this topic. It is not about leaving airgunning behind. It is about conscious...
Until it hits him really hard. Laughing is a defense mechanism. It is hard to accept for that guy that he harmed himself. But facts are facts and the lab tests do not lie. Lead in his body does not care if he cares or not.
If the silencer has any vent holes around I use a duct tape to get rid of them. I remember the lead rings imprinted on the air reservoir when the vent holes were in the shroud. This is not about life and death as the shooters do not suffer from the acute lead poisoning. It is more about low...
Hard to measure actually, but: https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/lead-poisoning-and-health There is no level of exposure to lead that is known to be without harmful effects.
I do not claim airgunning is not safe. It is if you are aware. However, many folks, including myself, poison themselves by doing e.g. a chrony job indoors. Yes, it is hard to admit something you did harmed you. But we learn every day, day by day.
Not true. Yes, chelation removes lead from the blood only. However, your bones are constantly being rebuilt. This is a live tissue. Now, your bones do not have even one cell that was in them seven years ago - that is the amount of time needed for the whole skeleton to be rebuilt - the average...
Guys, as I indicated, lead absorption via digestive system is about 10%. Even less can be absorbed via skin. Lead dust is the worst. Consider lead projectile travelling through the barrel. It wears down and then it is sprayed by ~130 bars of pressure. It is a no brainer if you look into your...
Hi guys. One post motivated me to write this topic. I am sorry but it is not true at all. I have lead poisoning from the lead dust. It is enough when you shoot indoors frequently or you chrony your gun indoors. Our silencers are called LDCs (lead dust collectors) for a reason. Have you seen...
I do not use any lube there. It may introduce additional inconsistency. The lube is there, then it can be worn out and you cannot add the lube again without disassembling the gun.
