When it gets finished we need to mount it on a turret near a pig feeder.

You know, almost every single person that has seen this in person has said the exact same thing.

1.55 Cal. Over 5000 gr in weight.
If I can get this little guy moving 800 fps it will be over 7000 fpe.

Can anyone confirm that this might be the world's largest air rifle? I know I've seen larger air guns but not with a rifled barrel.

Thanks Brian, I've got everything just about planned out except for the valve. So if you see me get to that point and I start to screw something up please steer me in the right direction.

As the winner of the modified class of big bore event this year, I would say luck is definitely a factor.

Yes I practiced allot more this year and yes my score was higher this year than last but it was more than that.

I was going to shoot in the morning and then got delayed at the field target area and barely made it to the big bore in time. So what was almost bad luck turned into good luck as the wind died off by that time.

And I shot against some AWESOME shooters and I was just lucky that they weren't having a good day.

So again, YES it is a factor.

Well ladies and gentlemen we have rifling.

1 in 70 twist rate. Grooves are about .010in deep.

I know it's dirty but it's been a long day. I'll polish tomorrow.

Here's what I have so far.

    3"x6"x12" 6061 aluminum billet.

And a 36" long piece of 316 Stainless tube that is 2" of and about 1.5 id.

That's a Benjamin Bulldog .357 reciever on top of it for scale.

Just FYI if you ever get a bulldog again. Pitbull air makes a 2024 tube that they tested to 10k

I build alot of Bulldogs and can modify the trigger down as low as you want to go and make it very crisp. I like a trigger that suprises me when it goes off and the Bulldog is capable of that.
I have mine regulated and with an extended reservoir can get 12 or more shots at 200FPE when filled to 4500 psi. And with a Pitbull Mega moderator it’s quieter than my 300 blackout. and powerful enough to take down large hogs. I’ve taken just about every animal that i can legally take in Texas other than a big Exotic.
So to make it short i would highly recommend the Bulldog. It’s cheap to get into and can be built into a 300FPE gun on air or 500+ FPE on Helium

Haji, it’s funny you say that.  I did that today. So i guess I “got’er done” ! Lol

David, i agree. It was a relief by the time i was done.  i just went home and plopped into my recliner and had a beer or 3. Didn’t even want to look at my gun.

Then we have to see all these videos that are doing it in a  handful of shots and make us look bad.

But it all worked out so that’s all that mattered.

I’m sorry to have insulted whatever intelligence you believe you have but Fair is Fair.
Good Luck to you, Mr. Rat.

HMMMM………  I was trying to have a little fun and defend a fellow air gunners honor. Not to cause problems, but it seems we might have one now.

I could sit here and spout off my accomplishments or brag about my career in Intelligence. But I’m gonna just drop it. I feel like if i started down that road of trash talking i would just be an Internet Troll like you.

So cturek, I’ll take that offer of the virtual Hi-Five!  YAWP!!!!!

I’m happy for you and for all of us, and thankful that AGD is giving us this awesome opportunity.
I tried to go out again today and try for the 175 and 200 but the scope is trashed, hopefully it will be covered under warranty.

“airtraffic” But, how do we know that you didn’t rig a spring loaded base that the Ball was placed on and covered with dirt to hide the spring mechanism activated by a electronic switch?
. It would not that hard to rig it, as everything can be hidden under a couple inches of dirt, and the ball could be pre-nicked with a punch of some sort!,

Now why didn’t i think of that!!!! I could have rigged up a Kanooter Valve with a muffler bearing or just have someone behind a tree to shoot it for me from 10 yards away and oh wait AGD said to use the honor system.
But really this is meant to be fun and if we as a community of air gunners can’t count on each other to be faithful and honest then we shouldn’t even have contests.
It sure would have saved me a bunch of headache to just fake the whole thing.
Heck i thought it was gonna be easy! I started off with my ball sitting on a water bottle and hit the neck of the bottle on my first shot. thought i was a bad MF until i did the walk to find out i had ruined my stand. Then i got frustrated and hot. But in the end i’m proud that i didn’t give up.

Seth i don’t know the answer to that. I’ve owned a bt65 and i’ve shot an Impact and just holding the gun you can feel the quality difference. Is it 1300 dollars difference? I don’t know.
I tuned and tweaked and fiddled with my BT65 until I got the power up to where i thought it should be for hunting but then in reality it was too much for my backyard, so i sold it. The reason i got the Gladius was so that i could power down to 2 for my backyard and power it up to 6 for hunting. But the Impact is so much more adjustable than the Gladius that if you are the kind of guy that likes to fiddle and tune your gun it’s your dream gun. But if you just want to pull it out of the box and shoot it then it’s a waste of money IMHO. Me, I’m a fiddler and just the thought of having all those knobs and dials to fiddle with makes me happier than a Puppy with 2 Peters!

it was hard pack dirt and i spent a hour cleaning it last night to get the dirt out of EVERYTHING! I haven’t shot it yet so i’m not sure if the POI has changed or not. It looks like the elevation turret to the biggest hit. It still turns ok but that doesn’t mean it’s ok inside.

I’m cringing already at the comments that I’m gonna receive at this video. I just watched it again and i wanted to cry when my Gladius hit the ground. But if y’all really want to see it then here it is.
