I faced the same situation as the OP: too many groundhogs and close neighbors. Experience hunting groundhogs in my youth with a 22LR taught me that they are tough to kill cleanly unless head shot, otherwise they will run off and die elsewhere - not good if they make it to adjacent property...

Hello Ron, Does this photo show what you are looking for? The light direction from right and shadow may be an issue. FWIW when I mounted a new scope with these rings windage was nearly spot on at 25 yards.

UTG makes very sturdy two piece rings that I used on HW95 with 30mm scope. They have set screw stops and very positive claw mount for dovetail.

Some center fire rifle shooters use fire lapping to smooth out barrels using polishing compound in grease grooves of cast lead bullets. These are shot at lower velocities. May be a crazy idea for air rifles.

I hate to ask, but is there a 22 springer that is more accurate at 40 to 50 yards than Weihrauch’s?

Thanks for response. I live in US. Am not familiar with “Wes”. Also what is source for longer barrel? My PCP experience in only .25 Marauder tuned by Tim Hill.

Is the 500fps for 177 or 22?
