I love my 14 round 177 mags in my HW100s. Fast/easy to load, you can see bad skirts, takes a while to shoot 14. Easily the best mag I ever used in an air rifle.

I would swap out the scope rings. Then give it a try. Easy to eliminate that possibility quick. Even better if you have another scope and rings that could be tested. Then you probably know if it is the rifle or optics. Some times finding the problem, it just eliminating possibilities...

I found the rifle to be too small for me. I am 6 foot, 205 pounds, so I am kinda average build. The balance was also odd, so it was far from steady in offhand. To me it felt like a junior/womans size. Personally I think a HW100 or Air Arms S510 is a much better platform for a guy my size...

All the rifles need maintenance, just like a car. Orings wear out like car tires. Keep it simple, is a guiding light. Product lines like HW, and Air Arms, have established solid designs and ease of maintenance.

As far as I recall, there are 2 batteries that are used. A 8.4V and 9.6V. I had a MK4 also, and again that was a long time ago, but I think I had used both flavors. I think the OEM is 8.4V, and replacement was 9.6V. So the 25.2 number seems strange to me.

I'm not saying I know a fix, but I would measure the battery pack for voltage. I had an Airwolf a long time ago, and it got wacky when the battery cell shorted. Pretty easy to test. Good luck.
