If the the HPA passes and suppressors are removed from the NFA…

Will we be able to discuss the manufacture or modification of airgun moderators again? Will we perhaps be able buy and sell our factory made airgun only moderators by themselves in the classified section again?

    Yokozuna users please chime in.

I bought a Panthera compact hunter in .177 that came with a Donny Ryu moderator from the seller. The Ryu is smaller in diameter than the shroud and I knew I wasn’t going to use it, but I wasn’t going to tell him to NOT include it. Surprisingly, the little Ryu sounds better on this gun than my...

    DNT Zulus 4K 3-24?

Saw that video last week while on vacation. Like you, I came here looking for any additional new info but came up dry. The video is weirdly short on details (The reviewer never shows it at full magnifican? Really?) but it still makes me want to hold off on purchasing the current Zulus. Unless I...

    Epoxy for carbon fiber tube

I didn’t think of that and I’ve built arrows from bare shafts! Really good idea.

Shooting with two of the granddaughters

Your picture immediately took me back to 2018 and the last reunion at my wife’s family’s place in Brenham Texas. I know this is an airgun forum but the pictures are relevant. It was a pretty big gathering and there were enough kids that we were able to get a friendly competition going amongst...

What did you order / receive airgun related today? Thread

Picked up the parts I dropped off for type 3 hard anodizing and they look great. Because of their minimum charge, I spent way too much on these two, but it was all I had ready and I was impatient to get them in the queue before leaving town for a few weeks. Haven’t put the trigger guard on the...

Atlas V8 Bipod Real or Knockoff

I’d say that it is almost certainly a copy. I have a real one and a knock off and it is pretty obvious which is which when you compare them side by side. Though I’ve only got the partial image of yours to go by here, one shows one obvious (to me) dead giveaway and one slightly less obvious one...

    FX FX M4 Micro

Oh I should have clarified. The Wildcat is the only one that’s mine. The others are pictures of other builds I collected because I wanted them for reference when I started my planned M3 mini. Ultimately I became intrigued with the idea of seeing if I could give my Wildcat a similar treatment...

    FX FX M4 Micro

I’ve been fascinated by these short barrel/long can impacts for a while. So much so that they inspired my Wildcat modifications.

Let’s talk ergonomics and/or maybe just feel for a second.

It’s not especially loud with any of the moderators I mentioned, just not especially quiet. Pretty damn snappy when shot bare though. I have to admit though that my standards might be unreasonable. My modded Wildcat sets the bar extremely high when it comes to quiet.

Oh I thought you were asking about the Panthera.

Still don’t have a shot count. It’s hotter than it needs to be for sure, so once I start playing with it I’ll have a better idea. Actually it’s not very quiet even with the Ronin on it. So far I’ve tried it with the pictured Ronin, a Fatboy, a Ryu, a Donny FX, and an Impulse Air IA-1200 with 2...

Let’s talk ergonomics and/or maybe just feel for a second.

Well you know how it ended up as far as the Vulcan 3 goes. Not sure if I told you, but I decided against the .177 Vixen and got a Panthera in .177 instead. So far I love it even if my imagined use where I “needed” for a small gun that gets a ton of shots seems to have evaporated. Oh well, I’ll...

Slowing things down definitely prolongs life. On the eskates I started to ride my Lacroix Prototipo more and more and learned to really appreciate a slower pace with music playing and more carving, than the berserker Valkyrie experience that was the Kaly at 40mph. Traded the dopamine hit for a...
