    Tuning Gamo Hunter 880 parts?

A little update. I found parts at Custom Air Seals in Australia. They shipped relatively quickly considering I live on the opposite side of the earth. Within 2 weeks I had my spring, piston seal and breech seal. I took the gun apart and found my piston had a chunk missing, and the spring was...

AGN & AEAC - Share n' Compare the AirMaks CAiMAN & CAiMAN X

I’ve had my X in .25 for a couple of months now and a little over 1000 pellets. This thing is amazing. I topped mine with the Element Helix 6-24 x 50 FFP. I’m getting dime groups at 50 yds with JSB 33.95gr, and Air Arms 25.4gr. I’m still waiting for my UIT to Picatinny adapter, so I’m shooting...

Walther Reign UXT PCP Bullpup Air Rifle shrouded or moderator?

I love mine. I have more expensive, regulated, and higher quality guns, but the Reign is a fun, lightweight and accurate hunter or back yard plinker. It’s rugged enough to take through thick underbrush without fear of scratching or dinging, and between 130-200 bar I get about 40 shots that are...

    Tuning Gamo Hunter 880 parts?

Thanks Enkey, Unfortunately they seem to be out of stock on most of the parts I need, and don’t have o-rings listed at all. I guess I’ll keep the old gal retired until I find what’s needed. Or hang it up as a display in my man cave. It was my first serious air rifle and took out hundreds of...

    Tuning Gamo Hunter 880 parts?

Howdy from East Texas. I have an old Gamo Hunter 880 that’s way, way overdue for a rebuild. Problem is, I’m having a hard time finding parts to make it happen. I called Gamo USA, and of course, they don’t support that gun any more. If I’m not mistaken, it has a 25mm piston, but I have no clue...

    Daystate Price Increase

Bad timing for me. I’ve been hemhawing around about getting a Huntsman Revere in .177 for backyard plinking and starling pesting. Turns out I beat around the bush too long. Not sure what to buy now.

AirMaks Caiman X .25 so far

After 2 weeks and almost a thousand pellets, I really am enjoying the X. I mounted the Element Helix 6-24 x 50 FFP. It pretty much stacks pellets at 50 yds, which is as far as I’ve shot it so far. The gun is fairly light and has a great trigger for a bullpup. Mine came out of the box breaking at...

    East Texas Air Gunners?

Maybe some ratting/pesting, or just enjoy the hobby. I work for a defense contractor, and when I broach the subject at work I get the old “I can’t believe you spend 1500 on a pellet gun. You could buy a helluva nice real gun for that kinda money”. Or “I quit shooting pellet guns when I turned...

    East Texas Air Gunners?

Looking for people to shoot with in East Texas. I’m in Mineola, and it feels like I’m the only air gun shooter in the world.

Are there any lightweight mid-priced, un-regulated Bullpup PCP's still made?

I second the Walther Reign suggestion. Mine easily shoots sub half inch groups at 50 yds with H&N 14.66g. I’ve even got similar results with Crosman 14.3 cheapie pellets. It’s relatively lightweight, and has a decent trigger for a $600 gun. My only complaint is that it certainly isn’t a pretty...

How much have you shot during covid?

Due to the price and shortage of powder gun ammo I’ve rediscovered air rifle shooting and replaced my old Gamo 880S with a Walther Reign in .22. I’ve shot almost 5 tins of 500 pellets so far. COVID hasn’t kept me from working, so most of my back yard shooting is done on my days off. Airgunning...
