I don't think it's advantages to measure lead with a precision instrument. Likely, that's why no further research has been done.

Shooting at an angle and using a pellet like crow magnum that sheds velocity fast helps. For me, the biggest concern is ricochets.

My response was based on my own build of a VSR-10 and EdGi spring and longest barrel. And watching a crew cull pigeon at my workplace with airsoft because the place is asbestos sheeting. We talked numbers and I saw damage and full pass though chest shots. I will not be hunting with airsoft but...

Airsoft is used for pesting in areas where any collateral damage is unacceptable. BBs shatter on impact with hard surfaces but will easily penetrate the chest of a pigeon, squirrel, or other small pests. I believe my last tune was 750 fps with 30 gram ball, if memory servers me correctly.

A bit off topic, don't you think? I regularly carry an airgun with me in the barn for vermin that show up for dinner at feed time. A pistol should fit in a pocket or holster reasonably out of the way, while a carbine is used for longer shots after they become wary.

At first glance, "Nope!" For a pistol to be useful, it needs to be streamlined and easy to carry. I can't imagine a holster for that thing with that side lever and gauge. They would be better off to call it a carbine.
