Regarding weighing pellets - The scale matters.....

Lol...I read your post wrong! Thought you said "will not affect" - my bad. I breathe on my balance and it's all over the place. Sorry you have to deal with humidity on a scale we rarely see in summer in Oregon.

    Airetex 45 service time?

I just picked up a few supplies for the Compwell. Two replacement filters and an intake filter. Change the oil with SECO Lube 500. Not sure how many peeps are using this unit. I am also in the process of adding an automatic pressure cut off circuit to control the max fill pressure.

Fastest Pellet Sorter in the Works

I was just looking through some load cells at Omega's site capable of resolving 0 to 20N - christ, i'd need to sell a kidney or start a go-fund-me, but they are available.

Regarding weighing pellets - The scale matters.....

I can't tell if you are joking or not... My 2nd tin of JSB 10.34's...very similar distribution. I just received my pellet gauge and will also be looking to see what variation there is amongst batches.

Is Scopelist.com legit, or do they drag things out with excuses when you buy something?

You got me thinking - are there piezoelectric sensors available that you could try? The strain gauge seems like a good option, but you need a really low mV driver to keep noise out - that's tough.

    Printable Targets

I'd suggest a small round or square target at about an inch in diameter. You did not mention your scope, but I assume you have something that will dial up to 10-12 power easily. Shrink the dot based on your guns accuracy and the challenge level you want.

My Brocock Ghost arrived and all I can say is, wow. I swapped out the stock grip for a FAB Defense Gradus AK and really like it (not shown). Scope is a Ares BTR Gen1 2-15x50 - nice glass.

Fastest Pellet Sorter in the Works

Cool. It takes some time just to work through components. Great working model and I think it's very doable.

Regarding weighing pellets - The scale matters.....

You guys sort of allude to what I thought from the very first day I starting weighing .177 pellets - what weight pellet was the gun shooting the day it was tested? I am reasonably sure AoA did not first find five, 10.34gr pellets when they set my BRK up to 20ftlbs. They likely grabbed whatever...

Fastest Pellet Sorter in the Works

The auto sorter is a great Arduino task for sure! I am really curious about this process. I just started weighing pellets, and to do so, picked up a Tree TSC 123 multi-unit balance. The Tree TSC is accurate to .001 grams with a resolution of 0.02 grains when in "grains" mode. The scale takes a...

Christ...I just saw how much these units are now. It's nice to see there are more affordable options out there.

    Airetex 45 service time?

I picked up a unit from Bruce at Airetex in 2019. I have used it, and still have some synthetic oil, but feel like it may need a refresher. Are Bauer or Alkin still viable sources for parts?
