Tariffs Explained - Pyramyd AIR Insyder

Yes, but given this scenario, prices still go up .... as Australia certainly charges more than China (pre-tarrif) and YOU get an arbitrage fee. - However, everyone gets their stuff, new international trade alliances are created .... and not as many folks lose their jobs :sneaky:. *** Also...

Another Vintage Crosman 101 Back in Working Order

Back when I was 14 or 15, a friend trash pick two Crosman 101’s and gave them to me. He knew I was into pellet guns (1974), so I tore them down and cleaned up the internals, refinished the stocks and repainted the metalwork. They looked great and shot nicely - accuracy on par with my Benjamin...

Tariffs Explained - Pyramyd AIR Insyder

Tarrifs Explained - (Nobody is in Control) - Not to sound overly negative, but ................. Yes ...... Someone is in Control -> The Big Kahuna in Washington - but the instability cat is "out-of-the-bag". - Buckel-up for Higher Prices, Reduced Supply & Recession --> Layoffs ...

    HW/Weihrauch Plug Screw Availability

Hey KSK, In hindsight, I may have misread the Ace box top containing the gun screws sizes (Edit 8-40 & 10-32 see pic below). I simply measured the only slotted, pancake screws in the Gun Smith screw box. The 5 mm screw replacements screws measured .182” (5mm=.196”), while the 4 mm hole was...

    HW/Weihrauch Plug Screw Availability

    - These screws (8-40 x1/8, 10-32 x 1/8) cost $1.19 & $1.49 respectively at Ace Hardware, hence each gun will cost less than $4.50 using this methodology :). Remember, while your screwing them in - keep 'em parallel to the receiver flat. The holes get enlarged a tad, so it's best to hit them...

To Strip or Not To Strip

BOG, I almost always refinish or strip -ALL- my gun stocks … as I can do better job than most manufactures with the exception of beech Wood. That’s why your techniques are interesting. Pretty much the only stock I have’s touched is my gorgeous BSA R10 stock.

HW/Weihrauch Pellet Weight for Beeman R7

Jim Maccari of ARH mentioned to me; heavy pellets in .177 cal. will diminish spring life. He said this regarding a R1 in .177 caliber using greater than 9 grain pellets  . Don’t go too heavy ….. as Ron said, listen to your shot cycle and look at FPE numbers.

To Strip or Not To Strip

Hey BOG, Your strip stain of beach and other processes are pretty much the best handling of beech I’ve seen. I had a Stormrider years ago with nice grain and hit it with a honey, poly one-step finish, but I prefer the bottom pic with better grain popping out. - Still working on my Fuming tent...

HW/Weihrauch New look for an old friend.

Great collaborative effort🎯. I can’t tell the difference between the OEM stock finish and the one modified. That means a great job ……

    HW/Weihrauch What a difference a seal makes.

Yeah, I’ve mainly just re-used OEM seals when I do a tune shortly after buying the gun or the green Aussie seals. I’ve haven’t seen an oversized OEM seal and Aussie seals don’t require taking off too much material (on my lathe) for a solid fitment. I just installed my first Vortek seal in a...

    HW/Weihrauch What a difference a seal makes.

Airguns tuning includes many nuances most folks don’t really want to deal with or take time to master. Piston seal fitment is not one of my strong points, I originally walked away from ARH seals mainly because I didn’t understand Jim’s (need to customize) approach. I thought you just jammed the...

I have been officially shut down!

Yes .20 Cal🌈🎯🚀, I think that’s the approach I’d take too. I’m sure you’ll figure out another way to shoot in the yard, albeit a pain🤨. I moved recently and really miss being able to shoot in my 13 yard crawlspace. Now I have to drive 10 minutes to go to the range; while a minor inconvenience...
