    HW/Weihrauch Beeman 77 Oops

I've never done this, but maybe a good idea to shorten the spring a bit/put less pressure on the ball? I do that on the Mk2, makes it easier to slide the catch...yes, it's "staking", not peening... Yup, opening the cocking lever is the problem, not closing it...

    HW/Weihrauch Beeman 77 Oops

Don't you just stick the spring/ball bearing back in and peen the casting to retain the ball? Someone said it's good to be gentle when closing the cocking lever? Only front sight hood I've ever seen! Was that originally supplied on the early HW77?

    HW/Weihrauch HW50 , the challenge continues

...carefully remove the breech seal, you'll have a leak if you shoot the gun, but see if the lockup is OK?...incidentially, this was originally a "HW50", and not a "HW50S"? Mike will tell us if any HW50 came with a Rekord trigger?

    HW/Weihrauch HW50 , the challenge continues

...replacement newer type breech seal sits proud?...nice old gun, whoever did "700 yrd ac" was a compulsive sort of fella?...if that's a Weihrauch accurate to 700 yards it belongs in a museum?...:)

    HW/Weihrauch HW50 , the challenge continues

The rear sight on your gun is not Weihrauch, but from a lesser airgun, without windage adjustment. The rear sight appears bent upwards? The elevation screw is original to a Weihrauch, in good order The barrel your gun is almost certainly original to the gun, with the less sophisticated front...

Traditional Rifle Diana 65 for parts

What springer did you shoot today?

Diana 65 and Walther LGV. The recoil less Diana does a bit better?

Other Who repairs vintage Walther springer airguns.

Which Walther model are you asking about? LG55 common, LG51/53 less so, LGV version 1 probably the most desirable, all these very similar in rebuild requirements. LP53 quite desirable but no experience there, LP2/3 not springers, weird airguns (!), Pilkington used to rebuild but no longer...be...

    The Remarkable Anschutz 220

Interesting. I used to think my FWB300 non S was the most accurate, until I got a Diana 75. I'm only familiar with 10M springers, and even the real antiques like the Walther LG55, HW55, Diana 65 do remarkably well...even a stone age fossil, a Falke 90 does OK for itself! Do you think individual...

    The Remarkable Anschutz 220

At the end of the day, unless you are a fit young person and olympic level marksman all these guns are about the same, accuracy wise? Even the antique Anschutz 220 mentioned by the OP does very well for itself, in my experience! I'm not even convinced that recoil suppression makes much...

    The Remarkable Anschutz 220

Let's see if we can quickly get you your 10 quality posts? What is an Anschutz 280? Do you mean Anschutz 380? I just don't understand why an Anschutz 380 can be any different (accurate) than a FWB 300S, except that the Annie is less likely to poke your eye out! I also don't understand how the...

    HW/Weihrauch Aperture disks...

Yup, I love the Annies too, the 6700 has longer rails so will splay out better (?), but it's more prudent to just find the alloy FWB.

    HW/Weihrauch Aperture disks...

Interesting how the modern FWB aperture disk has the aperture hole in the disk at the end of a "tunnel"; substitutes for the rubber sun shade? The Anschutz 6700 and 6702 can be used on a FWB dovetail if the front of the steel rails are splayed a bit? Of course these two are more expensive than...

What springer did you shoot today?

While I suggest you NOT use it, automotive starter fluid can be used. Also, a really curious fact is that ether in a spray can be used to kill maggots on an open wound: it's very effective, evaporates quickly, does not hurt. Actually, the maggots keep the wound clean since they only eat the dead...

    HW/Weihrauch Stretching a HW77 .22 to 75m

[/MEDIA] You are a spectacular marksman. For fun, here's the same AG with period correct accessories from around 1984: more things change, more they remain the same? The Gehmann 530 and similar like your have, and the older Seibert, Hensoldt, Zeiss counterparts have of course an adjustable...
