    HW/Weihrauch Weihrauchs for history nerds

Hopefully I will not get in trouble with the airgun gods since I showed this pic once before, but here's a HW55TF, and a HW55MM. I think "MM" means Meister und Match, has an Olympia stock with a Bavarian cheekpiece, and in later years is just called the "HW55M" version?

    HW/Weihrauch Williams sights - FP-GR fit issue

Yes, so true...and also the FP-AG will fit the FWB 11.3 dovetail and sometimes (?) even the older 13mm HW dovetail, and the GR is required if using the Lyman 17AEU front sight to replace the hard-to-find original HW front sight used on the earlier guns.

    HW/Weihrauch Williams sights - FP-GR fit issue

FP-AG are cute...but just get an Anschutz #6702...:)

What springer did you shoot today?

HW77K and HW77 "long", or "rifle", both "Mk2" or second version...I think "K" means "Karbine" or "Kurz"??? You are a talented marksman, I can't do as well with either of these!

What springer did you shoot today?

Here's a FWB300 from 1970-71. These were made 1969-72, total around 50,000, this one had a double spring which I thought was only used in the 300S? Original, little used gun, had a crumbled breech seal with a pretty good piston buffer: maybe the breech seal ages out before the buffer? As with...

N/A The Venom Arms Company Story

This is just outstanding information, and a someone else already suggested, needs to be on a "sticky". Sorry to see it go.

What springer did you shoot today?

Anschutz 220, and Beeman R7. The 220 is fairly rare, and somewhat historical being the first rigid barrel breech load 10M pellet gun (I think???). The R7 as you folks all already know is just a wonderful little airgun. No need to show the targets for the two, almost the same!

    FWB Old 'n New (almost)

...good point you make, don't do that again!...

    FWB Old 'n New (almost)

Here's three very worn or even abused guns: FWB 150, Walther LG55, FWB 110...and examples of the same three in very nice condition, "gun case queens" I guess? The worn one's are more fun...:)

    HW/Weihrauch "New" limited edition HW50

I don't think there even were lasers 75 years ago...they should have copied the airgun on the advert?

What springer did you shoot today?

Diana 65 made up to look like an RT, and Beeman San Anselmo era 124D, note plastic/wood butt plates, early Beeman scope...both much more accurate than me!

HW/Weihrauch HW50 S Jubilee model 75 Years Limited Edition Blue Laminate

True, but that's because in some nations rifled barrels were not permitted. In occupied Germany the rifling was forbidden for potential military use reasons. Actually some very early post war barrels are stamped "gez", indicating rifling.

HW/Weihrauch HW50 S Jubilee model 75 Years Limited Edition Blue Laminate

...someone should correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the HW50 "V" was the improved model in that the barrel was rifled, the very first having been smooth bore. The smooth bore was because in the immediate post war period rifled barrels were too accurate, and so too similar a really frightening...

    Tuning Do springs age out?

Agree, but I've found a few times on really older airguns (Walther LG55, Anschutz 250 specifically) that the new springs are longer than the older! I just wondered if a spring that had almost never been used, as on this FWB would need replace? Maybe the metal gets less "springy" with time?
