Best scope for backyard plinking and targets ?

Like Tom B, I'm mostly a backyard plinker. My latest purchase is a Monstrum G3 4-16 x 50 that I have had for several months now. I like it a great deal, but I've got my eye on that Hawke 4-12 x 40AO Airmax scope. Both units are sub $300 (I think the Monstum is a little cheaper) over at the...

Air Arms What pellet does your TX200 22 caliber like?

That's a real beauty Willy. I'm a real fan of fixed barrel springers. And that toolmakers box ain't bad either. :>)

Air Arms What pellet does your TX200 22 caliber like?

I've got a new (under 400 cycles) TX200 MKIII, 22 caliber that I'm trying to find a pellet that the gun likes. I've tried Crosman Premiers, JSB's & H&N's FTT without much luck. I was wondering if any of you TX200, 22 caliber owners might have a favorite pellet that your gun seems to like. I'm...

    HW/Weihrauch HW 97 Barrel Cleaning

If you happen to have a string grass trimmer around your garage, take a piece of your trimmer line a little longer than your barrel. Tie a string to one end and then tie a cleaning patch to the string. Feed the trimmer line from the muzzle end down to the breech. I like the trimmer line...

    N/A Should i rebuy a tx200 177 or

I have owned a 22 cal HW97K Blue lam for a few years now. Almost all my shooting is at a target 30 yds out in my backyard. The HW is a beautiful gun but I have not been impressed by its accuracy. Fast forward to this month and I purchased a 22 cal TX200MKIII from PA. Now this gun impresses...

Air Arms FPS WITH YOUR TX200 MKIII

My TX200 22 cal was brand new at the beginning of this month. I was shooting Crosman Premier Ulta Magnum 14.3 gr. As the gun breaks in I'm not sure what will happen to these numbers but right now they seem to be very consistent. This springer is about as accurate as it can get. Beautiful...

    Removing a Moderator from a Hatsan 125?

Does anyone know how to remove a moderator from a 125 Hatsan? Is it threaded on the end of the barrel?

Need Help With My Slightly Used (New to Me) Diana/RWS 48

Did you use heat when you bent it back into place?

Need Help With My Slightly Used (New to Me) Diana/RWS 48

Thank you for your comment. I sort of figured exactly what you said about being brittle. After having it bent one way has already stressed it, so bending it back will just add to that stress. But at this point, what have I got to lose? As they say, "Nothing ventured, Nothing gained.

Need Help With My Slightly Used (New to Me) Diana/RWS 48

When you say "Bend it back straight carefully" that is what worries me. I don't want it to break off while bending it back. Do you happen to know if parts are still available for this gun? And thank you to both of you for your comments.

Need Help With My Slightly Used (New to Me) Diana/RWS 48

This past weekend I was at a big Gun & Knife Show in SE-Michigan and picked up this 2001 Diana 48. No scratches on the blueing or the stock. It has been well cared for as far as I can see for a gun that is over 20 years old. The guy I bought it from was a private dealer and he couldn't give...

    Targets A Couple I Made

Hey Mike, Thank you for those targets. I like the red bulls eye. Makes it easier to see my hits in the bulls eye area thru the scope over the black targets. I don't get to see that many in the red area so when I do, I don't want to miss 'em. Know what I mean? LOL!

Why do you still shoot springers?

I started out shooting springers for years but lost my way. I moved on to shooting PCP's for awhile but then I realized my mistake. It's like the difference between transmissions. Automatics are nice but nothing beats a 4-speed on the floor!
