So, why not just get a paint ball marker? I understand that they look and feel realistic but, if you shoot someone, how do you know without paint or blood?

Break barrel rifles suffer from a condition known as barrel droop. Some are worse than others.

Put some silicone grease on them and you can use a short peice of 3/8 fuel hose to protect them when not in use.

If your cleaning rod is brass it will be just fine. I had issues with my trail np (same gun but shrouded). I ended up learning a lot about the artillery hold. Also, crosman had some issues with their .22 barrels. Check the crown, and use a light to look down the length of it at the rifling...
