Mainly for target (50-100y) and then for squirrels/rabbits. Would prefer a cal that is some what similar to subsonic 22LR. So far I'm most interested in the .25.

Understandable. However, being absolutely new to this, I'm finding it a tad difficult to compare which cal would be better suited for the tasks I need.
