    lighten the gauntlet

Never needed a barrel band for mine.I kind of like my for end the way it is. I shortened my barrel around 5" and trimmed the shroud back. Made new baffles. Gun is much shorter, lighter, and stiffer. Shorter than my Mrods and lighter then them. Total length is at 40" now. I have no idea how...

    Understanding Decibels

I found this post to be very interesting as well. I have used cell phone app, computer app, and off the shelf db meter. None of them gave me an idea of how loud it is or be able to compare to someone else to give solid advice. Just a thought here, Maybe it's time to make some kind of "cheap"...

tuning a Marauder for shot count - Advice Please!

Did this back in 2016. Gen2 22 cal. Still have the gun but pulled the reg. I like the higher power so it runs 45+ all the time now. Many ways to skin the cat. https://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/index.php?topic=103892.0 End result with 3000psi charge and reg set at 1550: 21.14 grain, 60 to...

    Unregulated VS regulated experiment

I actually pulled both the regs from my synrods (25 and 22) because I typically never shoot over 50 yards. It's more like 15 to 35 yards for me with 20 being a norm. You might find this interesting though. I made a table from chairgun that was an eye opener for me and probably for anyone like...

104 Shots.. Finally Chrono'd .25 cal MROD w/ hill Valve, spring, hammer etc..

I made a table of what to expect from a modified marauder (22cal and 25cal). Most and all the modifications are with all the stock parts of the marauder. Nothing was purchased. What I usually say, if you bought stuff to get power and efficiency, this is the least you should expect since...

104 Shots.. Finally Chrono'd .25 cal MROD w/ hill Valve, spring, hammer etc..

TPK, Looking good there chief. I recently pulled my Huma from my 22synrod because I like the power and I can never get it from leaking (the reg). Here's one of the last string I did using 21.14's. With a well tuned gun at a regulated pressure of 1500/1600psi you should expect 50 shots using...
