    Texan .457 w/ .454 Slugs?

I had a similar idea though I was thinking of trying Lee Precision's Bullet Lube -- same thing you use when casting your own bullets. Though I'm wondering if that will leave some residue in my barrel.

How to decock a Airforce Texan?

Sorry, dumb question, but I searched google and youtube and this forum, I even read my manual! No luck. Can someone please tell me how to de-cock the AirForce Texan? Thanks

    Texan .457 w/ .454 Slugs?

That's excellent first-hand experience, thank you for sharing. 0.5" at 75 yards is more then enough accuracy for me -- I hope I get similar results. I only got my Texan SS a few days ago so no shots yet. Next time I get the chance to go to the range I'll try them all out and share my results.

    Texan .457 w/ .454 Slugs?

For anyone reading this in the future... I contacted Hunter's Supply to ask about use of the .454 slugs in the .457 They said that they work fine but .454s at 100 yards = 2" CTC .457s at 100 yards = 1" CTC So why choose a .454? Hunter's Supply was kind enough to include the BC data for...

    Texan .457 w/ .454 Slugs?

Thank you! I only see 170gr in .457 on Hunters Supply. Edit: oh nevermind, I see them.

    Texan .457 w/ .454 Slugs?

The Texan is a .457 but Hunters Supply has a bunch .454 slugs they show as tested on the Texan .457. Will that 0.003 cause some slop and affect accuracy? Or will it not seal up well and cause less power due to blow-by? Or no big deal? Totally guessing here. I'd love to hear from anyone that...

    Which Gun?

I made a decision. After countless Youtube videos and testing out all the air guns on paper -- I made my choice -- we'll see if it was a good one... I went with a AirForce Texan SS .457 w/ CF Bottle & TX2 Valve. It's not a perfect fit for my requirements but it ticks the most important...

FX Impact .30 cal barrel choked?

Actually, I've not used my .30 barrel yet. I only got the Impact a few weeks ago w/ the .22 barrel and I'm still enjoying that. I came from a .22 springer so switching to a PCP has been a pretty awesome upgrade by itself. Mostly backyard plinking -- keeping myself entertained during the pandemic.

FX Impact .30 cal barrel choked?

Ah! Not sure where I got the idea they weren't. Good to know, thanks.

    New to Hunting

Yep -- this. I've read through all the California State codes, my county codes and even city codes regarding firearms and airguns. It's pretty clear in California that airguns are not considered firearms unless where they explicitly state the definition of "dangerous weapons" including airguns...

    New to Hunting

Hi All, I'm new to hunting. I've been only a few times and mostly I was just along for the ride while others did the real hunting. That was Montana... However, I live in California (San Francisco Bay Area) and have recently taken the CA Hunters Education and got my CA Hunters License...

    FX Impact Question

Interesting -- for comparison my completely stock straight from the factory Impact Mk2 .22 cal with the power plenum is shooting the same 18.13 pellets, also 875-885 fps with regulator pressure set between 85-90 bar. I wonder if its the power plenum, or if its difference in the regulator...

FX Impact .30 cal barrel choked?

I tried Googling found nothing useful. I tried gently nudging a JSB Exact Diabolo 50.15gr .30 cal pellet down the barrel from breech to muzzle and was surprised that it was such a snug fit. However, as the pallet approached the muzzle, resistance greatly increased to a considerable amount of...

The 452 Slayer Bullpup looks to fit pretty nicely! Thank you! EDIT: Ohh I see... Wait... 6 months... bummer.
