I believe manufacturers use a variety of plastic and fabric baffles. Are the Weihrauchs using wool or plastic baffles?

I hear what you are saying. 😬 That makes sense. Some of my set ups make more of a popping tinny kind of sound and others make a whoosh. 

Can you please elaborate on the audio illusion? The meter records high db and the ears hear low ?
