Swagging is expensive only because the people making the moulds want to get rich off of the few sales they do make.  HM Hen included.

$1500 buys a whole lot of quality pellets.

I cast my JSBs and have no problems with them.

Has anyone modified the valve block in such a way they moved the gauge to be on the side facing out instead of on the bottom or on the bottom of an additional plenum?

The time that it is important to see it is when you adjust your reg pressure. The easiest way to do that is turn the gun upside down. Then you can see your gauge while adjusting the pressure.

It's easy to say turn it upside down but what do you do when you have an added plenum and a bag rider.

Not my gun but you get the point.

This is what I want to do with my Impact when it comes in.

I may end up reaching out to someone to custom build one for me so it will have a thicker side wall to accommodate a gauge.

Do you look at your reg gauge that often?

It's not a matter of looking at it that often, it is out of convenience.  On the underside of the gun is not convenient.

Very easy to make, just need a drill, a bit of about 8mm and a tap/die 1/8 bsp … if you drill in the wrong place then a new block!

That is what I was thinking but wanted to see if anyone had done it.  You are actually the first person I thought might have tried this.

FX posting today claimed that the 35 will be 150+ fpe.

Agree.  It will be interesting to see how the Impact 35 does with the JSBs though.  FX has seemed to lean toward liking the JSBs and if it can through the JSB 81gr pellet at near that speed with accuracy, that will be awesome.

Myself, I would rather drop a couple of hundred dollars modifying my AG so I can shoot it at a much better price/rnd.

What does not make sense to me is why they went lighter on the .35 cal.  The JSB pellets are a hair over 81gr where these are 68.2gr.

I agree with GQ on this.  While dropping the weight allows you to throw it faster, I read that mid 900s was the optimal speed.

If you are running a rig that has been modified you should be able to throw the JSB at that speed which in the end will have 25 more fpe.

I think I am going to stay with casting my own JSB clones.  WAAAYYY cheaper to have for a 150fpe gun.

While I do not agree with how China is stealing intellectual property and making knock offs and hurting US businesses, it is also a fault of the US businesses for charging such ridiculous amounts of money it forces people to look else where.

Why spend $400 on a bi pod even if it is for a $2000 gun when you can get something for tons less that is 80% as good.

It's such a shame that it is so expensive to do your own.

I have about 500lbs of range salvaged lead I have recovered and would love to be able to make my own ammo.
