I know I am following up to an old chain but I purchased the Hawke ED 8-40×56 recently.

1st one would not hold zero…

They replaced it and my current one which has only about 40 of the 56 elevation usable.

Looks l like it's going back to Hawke too.  It's a shame when you spend nearly $1k on a scope and rings that you can't get something that works out of the box.

Still haven't got my service  date for the power plenum? Now with the Corona virus shutting down shit I'm probably screwed placed my order on February 4 anybody else still waiting on a ship date from service fx usa

Yeah,  I think it's a conspiracy against you.   Not many people own the FX Impact so there is no demand for the PP.  The Corona virus is a hoax too so just more hype to slow down your individual order.   I really hate it for you.

But then your going from a mechanical system to an electrical system to troubleshoot and Daystate doesn't offer .35

So far I would have to say that 95%+ of the JSBs have been 9.08mm or .35748.

We shall see soon enough.  I have my order in and have Ken Hicks doing some work on it.

When I sold my CondorSS 25 due to it falling short of what I wanted, I decided to put coin into this purchase to get it where I wanted.

Unfortunately, I do not see another platform out there at this time offering what FX can deliver without spending a ton more money.Yeah, yeah, yeah.  I know there are guns out there like the RAW and others, but you don't see them winning competitions and then turning around and shooting flying rats and coyotes.

    Rudder.

the barrel hangs down due to the weak structure. On most guns you can try a barrel strap, but with the “bumpy” CF BOTTLES it’s almost impossible.

I did have concern over the barrel length but this is the first time I have heard anything of a barrel droop issue or a weak structure the barrel secures to.

Aside from Hunting, now that RMAC allows .35 caliber in the 100Y BR competition, will anyone be shooting that this year? Inquiring minds would like to know…  ;)

I am hoping to be there.

I have been working through my stack of tins and sorting them.

When I get home I will post the average size I have had.  I have been using the 9mm pellet sizer from pelletsizer.com

Here in Michigan in my hunters digest it states that airguns for the sake of hunting are considered a firearm. They can be used to take game as long as it conforms to all caliber and power requirements for the species being taken. So even though it is not federally a firearm some states have put that into law. So technically when a wildlife officer is telling you that you can’t use a certain caliber at night he might be right. Especially if your states laws are similar to ours. Michigan has a night time caliber restriction of .269.  Better safe than fined and arrested. I know it has nothing to do with the .35 impact. But it’s kinda the way the conversation went. Which I would totally buy one! Would just have to be the exact right situation to take a deer with it. Like UpNorthAG stated. Happy shooting.

The caliber restriction at night is specified for firearms and WV does not have any Airguns laws.  Only a couple of states have amended their laws.

That's because everything has to be big in Texas.

I would hate to deer hunt with a bow in Texas.

WV law is very vague and anytime you try to talk to the DNR about it they try to use powder burner laws.  When you point out where they can't do that the huff off to go pout.

I had one tell me that I could not shot a coyote with an air rifle after dark if I used anything later than a 22.  I asked him what charge would he charge me with if I killed it using a slingshot and a 9mm ball bearing?  I was quite serious because an air rifle and slingshot are a closer comparison than a powder burner and an air rifle.  He couldn't answer other than. You can't do it.  I told him that I would call him when I go shooting coyotes again and he can arrest me but he better be sure of what he is going to charge me with.

My dad has taken two deer with his .25 Marauder.  They were both within 30m and good shots.  I would never have attempted it with his gun though.

The largest I am wanting to hunt is coyote for myself.

Curious to hear a serious explanation of "Harmonic Friendly"?  How deep is the magazine and where exactly can this rifle be used to legally hunt Deer?

I've been on a pre-order list for quite a while and glad to see it finally moving along.

I have to agree with Crosman999.  I do have concern over their max power of the JSB at 915fps and the "Harmonic Friendly" speed of 860fps.

I know what this meant with my CondorSS when I tried to get more power out of it.  Does that mean that if you push this to max power you will get the crazy death spiral that you can only sight in at a fixed range.

Harmonics change based on pellet design/weight, plenum air pressure/fps and barrel length.

I assumed that when FX promised a 150fpe gun last year that they based that statement on a stable parabolic flight JSB pellet like it seems they had in the past.

I am excited to see what Daystate comes out with; however, since they have already said they will not make a .35 version, I will stuck with the Impact.   Ok, ok, ok go ahead and bash me for the .35 but I do not care, that is what I want.  I will lost likely buy a .30 barrel with it so I can compete with it.

I think I am going to start by trying to get the rough fitment using sculptable foam.

I can then cast a blank using that and fine tune it from there.

Where did you hear they had big news to announce at IWA?

I only heard that Daystate had their unveiling of the Delta Wolf planned.
