Here are pictures of the Anschutz diopter and the HW globe on my 48.

I removed the front sight and base. I have a globe front sight from a HW rifle that fits perfect on the dovetail but it is far forward of the barrel shroud. Does someone make replacement shrouds? I would like something with a larger diameter than the original one.

Cool, is this sight the same height as the original blade?

A friend of mine near Stuttgart worked over both my 48 and my 98 at the same time and he said they were the same except to the location of the lever. He also mentioned that the 98 barrel is not as heavy as it looks. It is actually a much smaller tube inside the outer "cover". SS

So does the T0 reference only the trigger, no other modifications?

I bought a 98 used that was listed on egun.de. Got it cheap because there is no market for a used LG like this and most I have seen used have been like new. People buy them because of the connection to Mauser and they look cool. Once they have them the owners quickly tire and quit shooting them...
