A friend of mine also bought the same combo last week and he has the same problem with the scope mount being incompatible due to elevation correction. Outside of that, I like the rifle. It does seem to be a little fussy on pellets, but I have not tried a big selection as yet.

I see that Hill has a pump called the Spartan on their website that sells for around $100. No gauge, but it seems redundant if your rifle has a gauge. I don't see anywhere to buy one in the US, unless one want to pay shipping from the UK, which kind of destroys the economy of it.

I had the same thought. As well as drilling out the RWS mount and putting a larger stop pin in it for the 5MM hole the the Parrus.

I'm kind of surprised that its groups better with the 7.4 pellets too. the 10 gain Crossmans shoot loose in this particular gun. Need to get some quality pellets that are heavier and give it a go

Make sure you get a barrel droop compensation mount like the RWS Lockdown or similar. Scope needs to be able to stand up to the recoil of a magnum springer. It will take some break-in before the rifle settles down and you can really determine which pellets it likes, so I would just shoot...
