I agree. It's a bad deal especially when walmart is selling crosman pellets at the same price per pellet

I think I would just toss them. Why risk your health or barrel with soft lead residue? That's just me. I mean you can always clean barrels, but I never shoot damaged pellets or pellets that seem off to me. The cost of a tin of pellets is a lot less than any of my guns.

But what about pneumatic pump guns? I think it comes down to the pressure of the specific gun. I would go with the factory recommendations for oil or synthetic base. For instance my crosman 2100 is a pumper but the instruction manual said I should use the crosman silicone oil for that gun...

I own both. I have an old 760 and a new one as well as a 1377. The 1377 is a great gun. It does have a rifled Barrel and is quite accurate for a pistol. I find the trigger pull to be a bit hard on it which can throw accuracy off a little. I agree that the 760 may be a little easier to pump...

I love pumpers. Cheap to own and use and plenty accurate for backyard fun.The 760 second from the bottom is an '82. It is still accurate and works great. The others are newer I would also love to get my hands on a vintage Sheridan.
