Airforce Airforce 22 Condor 17 inch LW Barrel 39 gr at 1050 fps

Leading the barrel... that makes perfect sense. Didnt think about tracer effect, either bonus. Appreciate the explanation!

    Airforce AF Texan help....

Are you filling from a tank? If so, can you try to give it a quick burst of air opposed to filling slowly to try to seat the tophat?

This has been debated over and over, but wanted to get your opinion on the powder coating. Benefit for air guns? I know folks talk about less lead dust, etc... but that makes zero difference to me. Great looking little pills there, by the way!

Airforce Airforce 22 Condor 17 inch LW Barrel 39 gr at 1050 fps

haha... yes, sir. Your post with your results inspired me to try and I lapped...and lapped...and lapped.... the more I lapped, the more it became obvious to me that I had a small lathe and really could live with an inch or so less barrel on that thing. So that's what I did. Funny thing is...

Great to hear... I did similar with a .177 Condor that I was determined to make into a mini slugger. Had originally tried to use lapping compound to remove the choke and after about an hour of that just said 'piss on it' and chucked up the barrel, cut the choke off, recrowned and done. Still...

Where theres a need is there a product ?

Not exactly airgun related, but I'll chime in on this... I have tested many guns with rat shot and by far the best pattern I've gotten is with a Rough Rider revolver... Until I picked up a little smoothbore cheapo .22 and it patterns like a champ. When I see a carpenter bee at the top of my...

Where theres a need is there a product ?

As far as sprays for carpenter bees, you will need something with Fipronil in it. Fipronil is the active ingredient in Termidor and you can find the same ingredient in other sprays such as the one below. It's marketed mainly as termite/ant/roach killer, but works on anything that crawls or...

Cant say I have an obsession with them, but do love restoring old axes. Amazes me how many (at least in my family) were hung improperly using nails, screws and whatever else was laying around.

I don't like these skunks either

Perhaps...haha But with skunks it's simply a matter of logic. Their eyesight is poor. By talking to them, you arent startling them further when caged. But we've all heard the saying that 'music soothes the savage beast'. Perhaps there is something to that. At least in my experience the...

I don't like these skunks either

If you must keep the food source there, then live catch it in a trap. Go out, cover with a blanket. Dont try to sneak up on it. Their eyesight isnt great, but their hearing is excellent. Just talk as you go up to it, gently put a blanket or towel over the live catch cage and relocate it. I've...

Moderator approval for a basic post response to another members post?

I had similar before, twice actually, and it was a random (and benign) word that tripped the algorithm. Mods squared it away in short order.

    257 vs 25

I have a tricked out Condor with a Nobel valve in .257. It's a shooter, but at least for me...it lost appeal quickly. I'd wanted a .257 for years and had built up another one that I sold. I took this one in a trade with the idea of doing long range shooting. I still dont think I've taken it...

    Opinions and Observations

Airgunners have a lot more choices now than what they did back when I started. The cheaper PCP's back then was either a QB or Crosman conversion or the Techstar which at one point had gone on sale at $199 at Compasseco. The choices now are mind boggling. I wont even get into airing them up...

    Let’s see them work benches

Interesting... I have the same router sled (from Crafted Elements, I think) and I use it to flatten boards. Never thought to place it in a 'box' for 3D work such as with stocks. Can you give a little insight as to how you hold a work piece in the box to form?
