Taipan Veteran type 1 trigger group. I have four Taipans and all adjusted to my standard...no honing or polishing...just tweaking the various adjustment screws. Anyone who desires a nice crisp "light" trigger...I highly recommend a Veteran...The only equal to or better was one I experienced...

A "Really nice" springer? What comes to mind...cost not withstanding...with in reason...A few examples...If you HW (Weihrauch) the world HW's with you, (nothin' wrong with them) But when you Theoben you Theoben alone!!!

A good buddy and AGN member whom I chat with several times a week ordered a Royale 400 .22.with a walnut stock last year. He may even chime in if he sees this thread...but I was with him every agonizing step of the way in the ordering process...I touted the virtues of the original smooth twist...

Any one of my four current Taipan's...I could be satisfied with any one of them, doupt if I will ever buy any other brand of airgun...I just don't see anything anywhere for any price that I could shoot (in my hands) more accurately or would have less problems with...I'm satisified with the type...

Dear OP...Fireballdave. allow me to hijack your thread by re-titleing the subject to " Why I love rear-cocking airguns", "me" for my opinion. I have "five" PCP's with rear cocking A .25 Bobcat and four Taipans...Two standard and one compact plus one Mutant, all the Taipan's are .22's...Guess...

I'm in on the Huntsman Regals...This one is in .20 caliber.

Post a CLOSEUP picture of the indexing side of the suspected mag and let me examine it. The Veterans pellet probe completes the indexing cycle....I've been shooting Vets since "18 and have great respect for the platform including the mag system...I'm a retired machinist and made parts for 40...
