Taipan Type 1 Veteran .177...Thoughts/First Shoot.

This is the sixth Taipan I had the "pleasure" of owning, and every single one had been a stellar performer. Sold a "long" years ago simply because of weight and I'm not a big bench shooter plus another member wanted it. In the last year I've been working with (enjoying) a .22 Mutant standard...

    Slippery Butt Pad

Just pulled this up on Google, I have an older Huntsman Regal with the same issue. The soaking method spoken of here may have some merit, when I was a kid in the mid sixties, I raced " slot cars" at a local track and "wintergreen oil" was what we used to soften up the rear tires...worked...

    Taipan mutant

I'm not a scope guy and not sure what eyebox refers to but I will recommend them...I reailly like mine, I have a .177 standard typr 1 Veteran in route, putting one that also.

    Taipan mutant

Agreed with member Motorhead. I'm the second owner of this Mutant...original owner purchased around 2015 new, never had any issues...I aquired last September and one would be hard pressed to shoot it more than I have since then. Set at 890fps with JSB 18's locked it down and just shoot it...

    Best looking gun !

I never shot it except to test...However I've never saw, or shot a .20 cal that didn't like JSB 13.73s or H&N 11.42's....

    Taipan Type One Taipan's...A Testimonial.

Very similar, shorter barrel and air tube...the tube clamps are a little closer to the block...about a half pound lighter...biggest difference is noticeably shorter...feels like you can put it in your pocket!!! Unbelievably accurate with a 350mm barrel....same trigger though!

    Taipan Type One Taipan's...A Testimonial.

I own and shoot regularly four Taipan type one's, Two standards one Mutant standard and most recently a compact Veteran, all in 22 cal. All the standards were included in my thread of a few months ago, "Why I like Taipan Veterans." With groups ect. My Taipan ownership began in '18 and to...

Are you happy with your shooting?

I have a very unorthadox shooting style....Simply sitting in a comfortable chair left arm braced on my knee....Comfortable for me and I can shoot accurately to my satisifaction...most times. Bullpups and short carbines and compacts work best for me. My Bobcat and four Veterans are my...

    Daystate Wolverine

Nice to see a thread about Wolverines, haven't heard much about them lately. I've got a .177 standard with a Forester stock talk about attractive, often show it to non-airgun people who loose their minds when they see it..."What kind of wood is that!" I never shot it much, I discovered Taipan...
