Wonder how difficult it would be to convert a regular sniper into a HP version... Probably longer barrel and larger transfer port? 

I have my reg pressure turned up to about 160 bar and my hammer sprint set at 0.1 inch. This gets a H&N 21 grain pellet going around 840 fps netting me around 33 fpe On cold days. Will drop a squirrel in thier tracks at 20 yards with a body shot. I rarely ever get over penetration at this level...

Some of the daystate/brocock magazines have a misalignment issue as see in the photos below, aslo make sure your not using a pellet that's not too long. If the pellet is too long it has a tendency to shave off a but of the nose or tail of the pellet. The bit of gold you see is the misaligned...

This may not matter matter much to the discussion but my .22 brocock ( under the same parent company as daystate) sniper loves the 21 grain Baracuda match pellets. It's a great balance between velocity and weight to buck the wind. I shoot them around 845 fps. I can literally put 5 shots in same...

I have a sumo for my 22 sniper, pellet impact at 35 yards is about twice as loud as the gun. Also check with chrono to see if I would have velocity loss, and I'm happy to report there were none. 

Lol i like your thinking on those hostage targets, take out the hostage first so you can get a clear head shot at the bad guy enabling you to have cool head shot pics for friends lol.
