Is there a clear winner in the portable compressor category?

I don't know. I was responding to your Tuxing statement ("as I HEAR you can get parts for them"). You'd have to look at what they're offering to see if they would work with the Ready Air..

Tuxing sells parts on Amazon and AliExpress.

Air Venturi Nomad ll won't build pressure

The starting and stopping after you had it apart is probably due to slop in the re-assembly of the cylinder and head. There's enough play that you can have binding on the piston as you tighten the 4 head bolts and it'll feel ok until it runs for a few seconds. I actually burned out the control...

THIS JUST IN! Airgun Channel's NOMAD Dead of Unknown Causes

The symptoms are the same, so you may be seeing what happened with my Tuxing version. The original HP line from the cylinder head to the output block developed a hairline crack at a bend and they sent me a new line under warranty. That one eventually developed a crack/leak in virtually the same...

    Benjamin Marauder Repair

I had the exact same problem happen on my early Gen 1 Marauder a few years ago. I replaced that hard seal in the fill port and installed a Captain O-Ring seal kit at the same time. She's been tight as a drum with nary a leak since then.

THIS JUST IN! Airgun Channel's NOMAD Dead of Unknown Causes

Probably Tuxing. The general design, layout, and details of the Nomad 2 are virtually identical to the TXET062 12V compressor I have. Mine has a cylinder head temp gauge instead of a load meter, a black housing instead of the Nomad's faux carbon fiber, plainer buttons, and no disco lighting. But...

Where you buy grease for the Omega Compressor

I'd bet not. This is from the Muc-Off website: "Muc-Off *Biodegradable Bicycle Grease is specifically blended for the unique ‘low speed’ applications found on bicycle parts where reducing friction is paramount." It doesn't sound like it would be appropriate for the environment in a compressor.

Putting compression rings on generic orange Chinese compressor

The Tuxing factory store on AliExpress offers a kit of nylon sizing tools for those piston rings now. I wish they'd been available when I rebuilt my compressor last year.

On my Tuxing-branded version, when the compressor has started and spun up to normal speed. Then I close the bleed valve.
