Has anyone on this side of the pond tried the stand-up shooting with a tripod like what the English are doing? Gary Chillingworth and some of his buddies are calling this "stick" shooting. I've had hawks make off with my squirrels a few times. One time I shot a squirrel in the back yard, laid my rifle down and looked back at the squirrel and there was hawk setting on him. That hawk was fast as he must have been circling waiting for the opportunity.

Got another one yesterday, my total is up to four for the year. Big old boar male grey squirrel, he must have just moved in as I had not seen this one before.

I've just managed to shoot three tree rats so far this year. I have seen a couple more here and there, but they seem to be passing through. In about a month in my area anyway there will be young ones born and soon they will be out and about looking for somebody's house to chew on. Have Faith...

Thanks for your reply BC. It is challenging more so that I thought when we first started, we were shooting 1/10 scale chickens at 40 yards, pigs at 55 yards, turkeys at 60 yards and rams at 75. No scope adjustments parallax or range adjustments makes for some interesting mind calculations out...

Have any of you seen the video of Gary Chillingworth and his buddies shooting HFT standing using a tripod for a rest? Last weekend a couple of friends and myself tried that shooting NRA 1/10 scale silhouettes out to 75 yards. It was fun and challenging and something that we might add to our air...

What I meant to ask was that do you have a single official score keeper or do you trade targets and everyone gets in on the scoring?
