Ft. Osage MO Air Rifle Match Results - April 2024

Well Bandito and MOhunter come on out and shoot with us this Saturday. We shoot the first Saturday of the month usually depending on weather and club events. 25- and 50-yard bench rest and sometimes some fun targets thrown for good measure. We would like to get a silhouette game started but not...

    Squirrel Invasion

I think that is a lot of my situation, I get one or two move in because of the vacancy and plenty of den and forage trees. I have had a few times where a group of four or five move in usually in the late Spring and early Fall. These are usually young squirrels and I think that they are litter...

    Field Target Shooting Positions

I appreciate the offer! The 2nd Saturday is difficult for me as I am the president of a local muzzleloader club and the second Sunday is match day for that club. But maybe someday the calendar days will work out and or maybe I could talk somebody to go along with me and that would help out a...

    Field Target Shooting Positions

Has anyone on this side of the pond tried the stand-up shooting with a tripod like what the English are doing? Gary Chillingworth and some of his buddies are calling this "stick" shooting. I would be happy to try this at a Field Target match even if my scores didn't count for anything. Hint; too...

    A hawk snatched my squirrel

I've had hawks make off with my squirrels a few times. One time I shot a squirrel in the back yard, laid my rifle down and looked back at the squirrel and there was hawk setting on him. That hawk was fast as he must have been circling waiting for the opportunity.

Tally to date, chippers and tree rats.

Got another one yesterday, my total is up to four for the year. Big old boar male grey squirrel, he must have just moved in as I had not seen this one before.

Tally to date, chippers and tree rats.

I've just managed to shoot three tree rats so far this year. I have seen a couple more here and there, but they seem to be passing through. In about a month in my area anyway there will be young ones born and soon they will be out and about looking for somebody's house to chew on. Have Faith...

Tally to date, chippers and tree rats.

And I thought that I was the only one left with a flip phone! I ended up with 115 kills and no squirrels in sight. Stay strong and the very best wishes for the New Year!

Resources USA vs European Field Target

Thanks for your reply BC. It is challenging more so that I thought when we first started, we were shooting 1/10 scale chickens at 40 yards, pigs at 55 yards, turkeys at 60 yards and rams at 75. No scope adjustments parallax or range adjustments makes for some interesting mind calculations out...

Resources USA vs European Field Target

Have any of you seen the video of Gary Chillingworth and his buddies shooting HFT standing using a tripod for a rest? Last weekend a couple of friends and myself tried that shooting NRA 1/10 scale silhouettes out to 75 yards. It was fun and challenging and something that we might add to our air...

Indoor 50’ BR @ Meeker Sportsman Club, Marion, Ohio

What I meant to ask was that do you have a single official score keeper or do you trade targets and everyone gets in on the scoring?
