Which compressor to last you 20 years?

Bubblerboy64 is right. Do not use liquid Nitrogen. Air is about 70% Nitrogen so a lot of people use it instead of air because it is easier to find it for sale in high pressure bottles than air.

    Daystate LC-110 FAIL

Yes you are. The higher the pressure, the more you need to do service. I would suggest doing a valve change a little earlier since you are pumping 4500 psi and my 100 hour kits are aimed at the scuba industry. And, changing oil at 15-20 hours instead of 25 would also be a great benefit as...

Which compressor to last you 20 years?

Hopefully, there will be no problems in the air gun and paintball industries since scuba uses 80 cubic feet bottles and a lot of big bulk bottles that require long run times at high pressure for the compressor. With your small bottles, the compressors will not be at full pressure for longer...

Which compressor to last you 20 years?

Bruce at Airtex is a great guy. He has made some unfortunate choices, though, in his small compressors. His early small compressors would fail at about 300 hours in scuba shops or even heavy duty diver's. He shifted away from his first one and went with a disposable machine called Nardi and...

Holding my breath or should I say my air. Daystate Type 2 is down

MCH6 oil level is 500 ML. I really don't know what the Daystate is since they use a different sump.

Which compressor to last you 20 years?

I have a customer that uses a Coltri MCH6 and has had it since 1985 ... a little longer than 5 years! Ray Contreras - Owner - CompressorStuff.com

    Bauer Utilus 10E Help

I know this is a little old, but the 10E was a great little compressor. Parts are pretty expensive so take are of it well. I think that air filter housing was recalled so you may think of replacing it. Ray Contreras - Owner - CompressorStuff.com

Why use a priority valve on your air filter?

A priority valve has nothing to do with dwell time. That is determined by the size of the filter tower and the compressor flow rate. The PMV increases density of the air passing through the system. That makes the separator work WAY more efficiently and the zeolites in the filter work a lot...

Cascade system completed and a ??

You are going to toast your compressor with a cascade system. It is not continuous duty and that has nothing to do with actual run time. It has to do with the amount of time at high pressure. In order to make those compressors cheaper and portable, they had to reduce the size of the crank and...

Holding my breath or should I say my air. Daystate Type 2 is down

Wow ... that is a lot of crap buildup for only 17 hours! I have to say that I haven't seen that amount of burned oil on anything that has less than 100 hours! Oil changes are your friend. For 3000 psi scuba users, I recommend 25 hours at the longest for the MCH6. For the 4500 psi users, I...

    Daystate LC110 problem

Very first check should be the drain valve on the separator. They have a hard plastic seat and after running a little while, they soften a bit and need to be tweaked. Next, check the filler to see if it is leaking through the o-ring at high pressure. Next check you have already done ... soap...

    Daystate LC-110 FAIL

America's Compressors (new name for Coltri America) brought in a few of those compressors and found them to be too problematic for our uses. They really should have a 3000 psi rating like our MCH4. We had them tested REALLY HARD and they just broke too easily. They have unbalanced stresses...

    DAYSTATE T2 COMPRESSOR VS 110V

Wow ... the engineering from this group is amazing! I am new here and am going to do my best to answer generic compressor questions. However, please don't ask about the cheap Chinese compressors that have hit the market. My insurance company has let me know that if I get involved with...

    Daystate LC-110 FAIL

Yup ... we put together kits that make sense. At 100 hours, the valves for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th stages usually need replacement. And, since the 4th stage head is an integral part of the valve assembly, we include it as well. We also toss in the replacement seats for the blowdown valves and an...
