That's interesting. I researched the **** out of it and did not come across any reported problems with the Marauder. In fact it was unanimously good reports. Except just now with the poster above who obviously doesn't like them. Of course my experience is "N=1," as scientists / researchers...

While I was infatuated and briefly considered spending the dough on an FX Impact M3 / M4 as my first air rifle..... I'm SO glad I didn't. I've learned a LOT perusing the AN forum about the FX Impact rifles. I made the right choice for me (Marauder F&T), especially as an air gun novice...

On Friday, these were my results with the Marauder. I wasn't too pleased with my 50 yard targets. Some days are better than others, eh? During the 2nd target, they called a cease fire and closed the range due to approaching lightning. :(

Well... one reason.... The OP said.... My Marauder is regulated. But, yes... the base model is unregulated. Last week... 5-shot groups at 25 yards. Not bad. :)

My Marauder is super-duper quiet. I can't imagine needing a moderator.

No dedicated air gun ranges anywhere near me. So, I go to the regular outdoor firearms range.

The wood is "nice" but it's not THAT nice on the Marauder. I like the wood on my Marauder, but I plan on doing exactly nothing to try to "keep it nice." I would say the downside of the wood on the Marauder is the weight. It's a hefty rifle! Really too heavy to regularly shoot "off-hand."...

For about $2100.... instead of buying a high-end air rifle (I did eyeball the FX Impact M3 / M4)... I got a Marauder F&T (regulated), a fill tank, and all the "accoutrements" I needed to get started in air-gunning. Very happy with it! If a "non-rich" guy "saved up" $2000 and bought a $2000...

Got one (discovered here on the forum). I like it. I think it helps a bit. But I think maybe my problem is cycling the bolt too quickly.

Even though I'm trying to pay particular attention to cycling the bolt fully, I am still occasionally short-stroking it which fails to cock the gun. Dead trigger. At least I do remember to remove the magazine so I don't double-load the chamber before I cycle the bolt again. Fire that shot...
