    Diana Springer Shooting Technique

A lot of answers will steer you in the same direction, but you gotta arrive at the recipe that works best for you. Identify and focus on the points that have the greatest influence on accuracy; fore end hand positions, firmness of fore end grip, cheek position, cheek contact pressure (lots...

    Cure to the illness?

YT? That's nothing. Wait till you start hangin' and shooting first hand with guys who have high end guns and beyond, a.k.a., guns with custom work, not just guns with OTC aftermarket parts added. They'll plant all kinds of seeds you aren't prepared for, lol.

July 2025 SVFTC ( Sacramento Valley Field Target Club ) MATCH REPORT

Dang! Spring piston is HARD! I might have to go back to PCP or start practicing, lol. Need better dope for next time. Thanks for the match Scott and thanks to Sacramento Sam for bringing the lunch. Great to see Cameron there too! Good shooting, guys!

    HW/Weihrauch Twenty dimes! 177 Hw95 remains King.

Late to comment here, but I think one thing that needs to be brought to market is an HW97 with an adjustable butt pad and comb like the HW98 has. I can't understand why the one and not the other. I've seen a few 98's come and go through ranks of FT shooters, but there are always a few 97's...

A new challenge; 25-meter (27 yards) fly squashing

Yup, flies are fun. I when I had access to a 75 foot long back yard with a dog I used to shoot in the mornings a lot. For some reason when the sun came over the roof and hit the paper targets the flies would gravitate to the paper. It was pretty routine to splatter them with a FWB300S RT.

    HW/Weihrauch Twenty dimes! 177 Hw95 remains King.

Ron, nice groups, especially with the FX. You'd be a serious field target competitor with those. I am surprised the FTT's didn't do better. Have you already determined your gun prefers 4.52?

    N/A Weihrauch HW97K Synthetic

Have you shot hft before? Are you wanting to be competitive or just shoot hft targets informally with friends? If you want to shoot matches get the .177, the flatter trajectory will be a benefit. You'll also be handicapping yourself on the close targets with tiny KZ's if you shoot .22.

N/A Dots, Peeps or Scopes ??

It's an older Leupold Vari X III, 4.5-14 AO with a Leupold custom shop (apparently no longer in operation at this time) TS32X1 reticle.

N/A Dots, Peeps or Scopes ??

Never shot a dot but enjoy OEM opens, peeps, apertures and scopes. I expect more from a scoped gun so stress more over POI's. I lower my expectations with any form of irons and am more relaxed. Both are fun in their own way. My wife's HW30 does double duty.

    HW/Weihrauch Lost….But not forgotten

Yay! A story that finally ended well. Congrats. I am not a big fan of the new HW stocks but that 95's sure is a pretty piece of wood. The color and grain are really nice. That 97 is nice too but I like the luster on the 95 better. I'd apply some London Oil to that 97 stock.

May 2025 ... SVFTC Match Report

Fun match Scott. Thanks for all you do putting them on. I'm gonna get my 15-18 yd. dope right, we're gonna slow the music and you and I are gonna dance a lot closer with pistols next time, so shine your shoes, lol!

    HW/Weihrauch I LOVE my HW30!

Nice shooting. Gotta love a 30, right? It took me many years to outgrow my magnum mania and discover the pleasure of shooting low power springers (thanks MDriskill). Now I hardly touch my R1's.

    bruh.. such a long wait

No doubt some sellers want something extra for their time and effort to package and mail (that's the "H" in "S&H"). I see air guns offered for sale within a few states of one another yet sellers list shipping anywhere from $25 to $100 to my home state. How does that figure? Always check the...
