What springer did you shoot today?

Some Anatolian ladies. The mod 95 and the mod 135. Lotta snobs disparage the big Hatsan Magnums but mine are tuned down and the pellets are carefully selected to give a smooth shot cycle. A gun as heavy as the mod 135 can be surprisingly accurate when tuned to a modest 28 FPE in .25 caliber.

    Beeman Beeman Raider unscopeable?

I’ve been playing with a .25 caliber Beeman model 1332 Raider for the last week. After a day of walking the woods hunting I noticed the POI had shifted. I tightened all the screws and re-zeroed. Two days later I noticed the the POI was off again. Not much but enough to cause a miss on a...

    Any armadillo hunters?

They are not as tough as their reputation would make you think. I've killed them with boiler room shots from a .22 caliber Hatsan mod 125. Around here they are sure to turn up after a rainfall and usually about 2:00 a.m. My neighbors have actually asked me to do something about them because...

    Beeman Beeman Raider

I recently purchased the .25 caliber model. The excessive hammer bounce was immediately apparent. Has anyone found a solution? Will the Bstaley mod work on this gun?

    Thought he was clever

Nice shootin! I give the native Green Anoles a pass but I zap all Brown Anoles. They are invasive.

    Help identify model of rifle

The breech plug should have a two digit number that will tell you the month and year it was made. For instance, my Sears model 126-19301 is marked 77 indicating that it was made in July of 1967. Sears tended to get new features on their guns before they appeared on the stock Crosman line...

    Help identify model of rifle

Push out the safety and the barreled action should lift out of the stock. The Co2 guns came with adjustment screws for the sear engagement and length of travel for the trigger. They can be set up very finely. One of the best triggers Crosman ever made IMO. Be aware that the Sears guns were...

A question for those of you that hunt squirrels in the woods

In response to the original query I haven’t had a decent Illuminated reticle scope yet. Mine are cheap. Leapers, Pinty, and CenterPoint. Even at the dimmest visible setting there s still too much glare reflected from the reticle. Usually don’t have time to fuss with that sort of trash when a...

The squirrels are in trouble now...

I save tender young she’s for the table and feed everything else to the dogs. They love pressure cooked squirrel! Older females and all males are strictly dog food. It does incentivize the dogs. They completely understand the connection from treeing to shooting to eating and they get mighty...

Kayak Gun - Air Pistol vs Salt Water?!

I lived at the beach in Florida for years. Now I live in the swamp in Florida, just a few miles from the beach. My 1322 tackle box gun looks like an artifact because of all the rust. Salt, sand, and water will do a number on any gun but PCPs have got to be the most vulnerable. I carry a...

Who is the biologist/Squirrel hunter on here? Questions for the knowing ones

I've hunted after ice storms in the Georgia mountains. The temperatures were only in the low twenties but it shut everything down. Interestingly a railroad switch near my house was a mecca for wildlife on freezing days. Thermostatically controlled propane burners lit automatically when the...

Seriously taking squirrels with 12ft lb?!

Most of my buddies had Crosman 760's back in the day. Made 7-8 fpe at best. I had a Crosman 1400. Made 10-11 fpe. We killed a lot of stuff! These days I like the extra power of a 14-17 fpe springer though.

Die-Hard Squirrel (Airgun Hunting Competition Video)

We used to hunt that way in north Georgia only with shotguns. Not terribly sporting but at least I used a muzzle loading shotgun. I had a great Feist dog in those days. She would climb trees to get to squirrels. I still hunt with dogs. My current pup isn't the greatest but he's got heart...
