I don't quite understand the above. As you clip "half coils" wouldn't the fps increase? Then are you saying that continuing to clip will eventually begin to decrease fps?

After some research, it seems as though any rangefinder will work when hunting with airguns. There are 100s of available ones, however, and there must be differences in performance, usability & quality. My budget is around $100 +/-. What do I look for and which do you recommend?
