Indeed though i am barred from anything larger than .177. I can have it but then i have to take a overly complex hunting license and among other things memorise hunting times for everything, and show i can handle a shotgun safely,,,,, to get say a .22 air rifle. But i am thinking pistol +...
None taken. As a old salty sea dog my skin is pretty thick, so people will have to really put a effort in to put a dent in my self esteem. Sadly i dont think i remembered a single time to press record on the damn scope. My M8 is a master record button presser but then in turn he always forget...
Been to the range again. Saturday was supposed to be trip to lumber yard for supplies but that closed very early so no dice. Instead i sort of got the range finder & ballistic calculator on my oneleaf scope dialled in. Zeroed at 56 M and range shorter or longer distances just fine, and pul lead...
A update on this. I did my Zero at 56 M, entered a more valid BC number for the JSB Heavy pellets, and put in the actual scope height over barrel CUZ i had played a little with that. And wouldn’t you know things are now fairly close to bang on, at least from 28 M and out to 75 M which even on a...
Yes. Also to some degree true for the little .177 calibre, but we really need someone to move something for this little calibre, CUZ it have been forsaken. Slugs alone i am not sure will be enough. Not just speaking CUZ my rulers have me chained to this little calibre, i think it is still...
Smaller maybe in relation to the price daystates normally carry, which is most often so tall i will have to pass even if i am somewhat infatuated with these. But probably way past Gauntlet price.
For a "pistol" like experience + I am eyeing the air venturi micro strike, but this too seem to be slow getting off the line. Also important to me ATM,,,,,,, cheap
O yeah, no matter what your " gauge " say, shoot whatever speed your rifle do best at, i see speeds as only a general pointer. My Two i some times shoot at just 96? fps but the day after 990 might be better for me, even if using same chrono and tin of ammo. Also my nate chrono do not completely...
Yeah i am not sure changing to that more correct value is going to be better, but will give it a try tomorrow even if weather is helluva bad, and really i should be building on the shot shed instead. But figure i can " waste " a hour doing that. Also contemplating zeroing on a further distance...
That’s how i feel too, but of course if you are using a ballistic app or digital scope with that i suppose you do need bang on actual speeds. The freaky speeds i am getting now and then using any brand chrono, those are down to inconsistencies in the tin, i have chambered and fired scraps around...
There are down sides, the nate gear need a external power source, but as i only shoot bench this do not worry me. I also think if you do not chrono all the time it should not worry. On a +, well maybe for some you do not ned to install a APP, you connect to them like a web page. I chrono a lot...
I Am now using the nate chrony steadyshot, Nate claim Accuracy: calibrated to be within 1fps of actual pellet speed at 1,000fps from a certified set of master chronographs Resolution: <0.1fps shot to shot at 1,000fps
