Events Hatsan Cup, Turkey - video.

Here is Alparslan Şen's video of Hatsan Cup shot last weekend. I think the speeds will be better next year but we had very little time to practice from when the rules were announced. At least that is my excuse. Targets were at 25/50/75metres (28/55/83 yards) and their sizes were 3/5/7cm...

Events Hatsan Cup - Speed Silhouette

We have just had our first EBR/Speed Silhouette competition here in Turkey. Hatsan just completed building the range a few days before the comp. Course of fire was 5 targets at 25/50/75 Metres (28/56/83 yards). Target sizes 3/5/7 cm (1.2/2/2.75"). Starting with loaded mags, max 14 pellets per...

Events What was shot at 100yd bench rest at EBR

Yes the flavor of the month is .30 BUT the winner for the past 2 years has been .22 LW barrels shooting Jumbo Redesigned running at 970-1005fps.

    Hatsan Nova Star

Thanks for the info Butch. I have a big comp in about 3:weeks so will have a play after that. This gives me a good starting point. Because of where I live and who I know I got Hatsan to put a LW barrel on my Nova Star so results might be a little different. In Turkey, Hatsan are the importers...

    scope advice

I went with the Athlon Argos 6-24x50FFP. If you are going out to 150 might be worth considering adjustable mounts. My choice was the Eaglevision Infinity ones but of course there are also the FX No Limit ones.

    Hatsan Nova Star

Butch, what speed are you running the JSB 25's. I am running the 18's at about 915fps and that seems to give best performance. Unfortunately 25g not sold here in Turkey but I managed to get a couple of tins from Holland to try out so info will reduce my set up time. Thanks

My Airguns Of Arizona Adventure Trip

Very nice video. Good to see the inside of AoA just wish we had something similar in Turkey. I've had some contacts with the guys there and have always found them helpful and very quick to respond.

    SWFA Airgun Scope !

Like your reticle but would prefer hollow diamond for centre so no chance of obscuring small target when FFP set to maximum power. If centre only could be illuminated, even better for low light conditions.

Events Thanks to all at the Pyramyd Air Cup

I wish that we had a similar competition here in Turkey but competitive shooting has only recently started. Last year majority of competitions were limited to Turkish made airguns but this year have got most open to all manufacturers so slowly improving. Maybe in 3-5 years we might have...

Speed Silo at EBR? How to enforce the rules?

It would also have the additional advantage that spectators would be able to follow what was happening more easily. As Centercut says it might also cause other shooters to consider different calibers depending on what aspects they think will give them an advantage. It would also potentially...

Speed Silo at EBR? How to enforce the rules?

Centercut's idea seems any easy fix. If targets or sighting area was hi-vis this would also level the field as one of the few advantages of .30 over .22 is that it is easier to see where it hits and therefore adjust for the wind. This has nothing to do with how good the shooter is or how...

Speed Silo at EBR? How to enforce the rules?

Automobile racing has probably the most stringent rules of any sport to try and level the playing field so that the smaller companies/teams can compete. In formula one they must use an engine of a certain size, amount of petrol and oil is limited, and there are strict controls as to...

    JSB QC blunder

How can you prove they are JSB???????? Tin looks right, label looks right, QC label on back looks right, remaining pellets look like other JSB 18.13 pellets and are similar weight.
