    Leaky cyclone question...

It's actually dumping all the air through the bleed valve. The little check valve o-ring is one that I've replaced a few times. The exhaust valve spring sounds like it may be the culprit. I've never messed around with it. I'll open it up and take a look. Thanks for your help. Every few years...

    Leaky cyclone question...

I have an old school .22 FX Cyclone. I took out to do some back yard shooting after a couple of years and not surprisingly, a gun purchased in 2004 is leaking. I replaced a bunch of o-rings over the years but this is a new symptom. Previously it would leak slowly after a fill and be dead by...

Groundhogs, is .22 cal and 30 FPE enough?

@cea1960 Enlightening image. Those teeth are a dead giveaway to the animal’s identity. The more I read, the more I realize I just didn’t make a perfect shot. I haven’t seen much activity this year. I’m guessing f the last one I shot that got down his hole likely died down there. Not ideal but I...

Groundhogs, is .22 cal and 30 FPE enough?

@acs Great image you posted. Very helpful. Based on the circle I think I’m missing the brain. One of my shots hit to the right and just below the ear. Certainly possible the other was a bit off as well. I got my first farm permission in 2004 but haven’t been shooting at all over the last 6-7...

Groundhogs, is .22 cal and 30 FPE enough?

That's a beauty! Incidentally I had an old FX Tarantula in walnut like that. It was a tack driver but I just couldn't get used to the forward cocking. Once I got a cyclone with the Biathlon mechanism, I was hooked.

Groundhogs, is .22 cal and 30 FPE enough?

Thanks gents! I have some Hades incoming but will also go for the ear shot going forward. As @L.Leon said, they could’ve expired in seconds after being hit as I can watch the impact through the scope. It’s just that I’m not 100% sure because they dive into their hole. Appreciate the...

Groundhogs, is .22 cal and 30 FPE enough?

Agreed about all the other animals. I can easily see that I'm humanely taking all but the Groundhogs. Since they made it back to their hole, I just don't know if they are suffering or not, even though I see good head impact. Do your headshots on groundhogs drop them or are they getting away...

Groundhogs, is .22 cal and 30 FPE enough?

We have groundhog issues and I have an old .22 FX Cyclone shooting 16g JSB's at 920 FPS. I shot two a couple of years ago and both were (what I assumed) good shots. I can shoot from a supported position at 25 yds and got solid hits (first time right behind the ear and 2nd between ear and eye)...

Any updates on the FX Dream Tac Compact?

Thanks so much. Exactly what I was looking for, much appreciated.

Any updates on the FX Dream Tac Compact?

So if I buy a standard Dreamline Tac and already have a spare AR stock, do I have to buy the receiver extension/buffer tube as well? I have a buddy with several AR builds. He said he has a handful of AR stocks if I wanted one. Looks like Midway stocks dozens. Would the $20 version be...

    Unregulated PCP Groups.

Had an hour to kill this morning. Broke out the 2005 unreg'd FX Cyclone. Shooting 16G JSB Exact at 760FPS, which is medium power (high power is shooting at 920FPS). All are 8 shot groups at 50 yds off the bipod. Not breaking any records but she still shoots if I do my part. I can typically keep...

Broke out the old school FX Cyclone...

I bought this .22 Cyclone in 2005. At the time, Pyramid carried this unshrouded version with a thicker barrel diameter than standard. This rifle ended up taking the place of several other PCP's (FX G8R, Tarantula and a little Falcon FN12). The fact that it was relatively short, light and had the...

Welcome to AIRGUN NATION - please introduce yourself here!

Hi folks. I just found AGN as I haven't been active on the forums for a while now. I've been an airgun enthusiast for almost 15 years. I punch paper mostly but spent a lot of time doing pest control at some local farms. I was very active on the yellow forum until 3-4 yrs ago as my kids got...
