The PatchWorm cleaning system grew from one shooter's passion with precision pistol shooting. The goal was to develop an efficient, compact and safe method for cleaning gun barrels at the firing range and workbench. It started with making kits for friends and fellow shooters, and grew – mostly by word of mouth – to the product it is today.
Airgun, rimfire and centerfire shooters alike have found the PatchWorm system to be ideal for thorough yet gentle cleaning of small caliber bores. The PatchWorm rod and cleaning heads are made entirely of nylon and cannot harm the bore or muzzle crown. A tight patch or felt button pulled through the barrel is usually all that's needed to remove all fouling. Small Caliber Kits are available for specific bores including .177, .22, .25 and .30 cal, while the universal Pocket Field Kit includes an assortment of cleaning heads for .20 cal through 12 gauge. All of these kits are so compact, they fit neatly in a shirt pocket.
