At some point I’ll buy one of those too. But living in Panamá makes getting items an extra hassle. Plus making your own is fun. Mine will definitely scratch if you don’t use it carefully. 

I didn’t want to spend $100 for the tool, so I made my own yesterday. Pretty easy and works well.

I used silicone grease, but they still expanded. I think Tom’s explanation makes sense, that the inner diameter of the tubes is now slightly larger than before and therefore a harder o-ring is needed. Makes sense since some people experience this problem and others not… I guess my tube is one...

I replaced all o-rings on the gun and everything went well…pretty easy job. The old o-rings were in horrible shape. The spacer on the regulator gauge seems to be a bad design. That’s why I was intrigued to read that there’s a revised version. I hope I can buy a new gauge and spacer to resolve...
