    Favorite 457 projectile?

I've been having a good time with the 350gr at 200 yards, but I wasn't sure if there was a better option out there.

    Favorite 457 projectile?

I have a Texan 457 Carbon Fiber with the TX2 valve. What's the preferred projectile for long distance on that setup? Nielsen 350gr, 400gr, etc?

Any benefit to converting Texan 457 CF to 257

After a little research, and the last 2 comments. I'm just gonna hold on to the 457. It looks like a lot of people have been really successful with the 457 and long distance. I guess I'll try adding a donnyfl emperor on to the LSS to quiet it down a bit more and invest in more Nielsen ammo.

Any benefit to converting Texan 457 CF to 257

I also have a 25 cal condor, would that be an easier conversion to 257?

Any benefit to converting Texan 457 CF to 257

Thanks for the reply. I wonder if the accuracy of 257 is worth the pain in the butt, or if there is any way to get the 457 up to 200-300 yards and fairly accurate.

Any benefit to converting Texan 457 CF to 257

So air guns are not like powder burners where the added barrel length improves accuracy by stabilizing the bullet more (obviously, up to a point where you get diminished return due to the barrel flexing)

How difficult is the barrel swap?

Any benefit to converting Texan 457 CF to 257

I'd be doing a bit of small game hunting but a ton of ling distance target shooting. 300+ yards.

Any benefit to converting Texan 457 CF to 257

Yeah, the 257 conversion would be through African Air Ordnance...for like $500+. So basically I'd have a $1800 Texan 257 CF lol. Probably doesn't make much sense converting it vs selling and buying a 257. Other than I dont have to wait for the 457 to sell.

Any benefit to converting Texan 457 CF to 257

I have a LSS 457 carbon fiber and want a 257 instead. Is there any real benefit in converting this I to a 257 vs just selling it and buying a 257. I know Airforce doesn't make a 257 carbon fiber, but will the extra power from the CF conversion show any actual better real world results?

    What is the best bigbore?

It's really hard to beat the Texan, much less at their price range
