I agree it looks cool. A threaded rod coupling nut would work. I'd want to grind off the galvanization and blue it and it would look identical. The guy must have replaced the barrel on his 45-70 cause nobody would cut down a 45-70 barrel just to get a barrel weight for an airgun. Or maybe...
