I bought an Alpha Wolf from AoA. They test fired the gun with a 5 shot group @ 20 yds (a chart was included). As far as I could tell, the barrel was not cleaned. But the gun shot fine upon delivery, so the barrel cleaning thing was a total non-issue for me.

I was surprised at my results because I had heard the MKIIs were better than the MKIs in most guns. So far, my AW likes (in order of best to worst) @ 920 fps: JSB MKI 33.95 JTS Dead Center 33.80 JSB MKII 33.95 FX 33.95

I shot my AW at 100 yd, mostly just to try it. It certainly wasn’t precision work, but once I found the DOPE I could easily put pellets inside a 3” bull. It was funny because I could see the pellet flight through my scope and man I had to lob those SOBs in there, LOL! Was fun.

Just an update here. After much testing/practice, it seems like my .25 Alpha Wolf likes the JSB MKI 33.95 gr pellets @ 920 fps. It seems to group a bit tighter with a 0dB moderator than without. The best I’ve shot is about a 0.5 inch group but most are about a 1-1.25 inch group at 50 yards...

I might sign up to compete in an event one day, but I have to learn how to shoot first. LOL

It’s the same with Daystate. I just bought an Alpha Wolf, which is fitted with a 480cc CF bottle rated for 250 bar. The user manual says to only fill it to 240 bar.

Is it necessary/recommended to remove the barrel from an AW/DW in order to clean it? Or can it be cleaned in place? On a related note, how often do you all clean your barrels? And what do you all use to clean the AW/DW barrel? Do you use pull through patches on a patch worm, nylon brush on a...

I’d buy that air tank bag in a heartbeat. Hope he can figure out the international sales/shipping issues.

What do you all recommend for an adjustable bag rider for a DW/AW? I’m shooting my AW off an Accutech bipod, and I need to figure something out to better stabilize the rear of the gun.

When you say “day and night” difference, was it just minimized POI shift, or did it tighten groups (or both)?

Nice! I snagged a used .25 cal AW from AoA. Just received it yesterday. Just waiting for it to stop raining. It’s a nice gun. Smaller that I thought it would be. I hope it shoots well.
