Put out a small bird feeder and you'll have no problems getting them to come by. Just watch out for the holes they make under steps, patios, etc.

Regarding lights - if your budget allows it take a look at the OdePro KL52 Plus. It had 3 interchangeable "bulbs", green, red and IR. Includes batteries, scope mount and more. Get all of them rats !!!
