I love these pellets, they shoot great in my lower powered pumps and my prod, sort of like the meisterklugens. On occasion you can find h points in deep discounts.

Apparently a rifled pellet one is in the works thats longer, more akin to the arrow shooter shoroud length. Also the barrel is so easily removed im tempted to make one myself for the compact form factor.

Unfortunately almost all of crosmans offerings are now PRC junk builds.

Trust me once you handle a new fully china made 2240 your jaw will drop. The trigger feels like grit, the milling is so obvious where they used an old worn bit, the barrel is different, even the "blueing" is different. And yes I would agree with you marflow that the older "us made" ones weren't...

I wish they were Taiwan guns, atleast most stuff from there has some modicum of QC and Mfg pride. The latest crosman junk guns are pure PRC garbage. Breaks my heart. Crosman used to be bargain bin stuff but atleast shootable.

I have a newly fully made in China 2240 xl and it's absolute garbage compared to the 2240s of the past. Crosman is truly taking the last dive. I doubt they will be in business in another 5 years at this rate.

The latest XL I purchased was absolute garbage. The previous 2 I've had are wonderful for the price. Intereetingly its also my first 2240 clearly branded made in china so maybe they have finally moved even final assembly offshore. I'm not sure if this is an input or output of the current...

Another question for you Charles, is the .17 bb barel rifled or is it a smoothbore?

I suppose shot count for each? I like the form of the gun with the smaller cart but those little carts don't seem to last too long.

How many shots are you seeing per cart?
