Have the same problem...was thinking a hot glue gun, can be easily removed on the metal, peels off when needed.

I had the same problem, ended up using the .25 marauder using the Eun Jin Hunters (43 grain) @ 54 fpe. I believe the pointed ends on the pellets helped with penetration through the feathers, as well as the mass of the pellet. Not the most accurate pellet, but got the job done on body shots, gut...
