I have used a red dot on a Beeman Bearcub, Beeman R9, and a Diana 28. All tuned with the Bearcub and R9 having about the same power as a FWB 124. No problems. I did use Vortex red dots with lifetime warranty . I recommend using a smaller dot for more precise shooting.
