Where do you live and do you like it there?

I'm in S.W. Missouri. Beautiful part of the country with some sort of hunting season pretty much year round. I'm not real fond of winter, but it's relatively mild compared to a lot of the country. I'm Tennessee born, but have lived in MO since I was 6 years old. I may move when I retire, but I...

How many people own a chronograph?

ProChronoDLX for me. Only had it a few months, but it looks to be consistent in it's readings. Phone connectivity is nice too. Kinda bulky compared to some of the new offerings, but still a good chrony for the $$..

I Admit I am a "gear head";wondering if other gear heads also are air gun nuts.

And I'm ready for it too. Winter started a month early here in S.W. Missouri, and isn't looking to be over for some time yet. Seldom able to get out and shoot, let alone ride the bike. Any warm up is accompanied by howling wind and/or rain..

I've always worked on my cars/trucks because I had to and didn't want to pay someone else to. Mess with motorcycles because I want to, and don't want to pay someone else to. Just got into the air gun thing a few months ago and am starting to do some modding and such. Also do FPV drones, RC...

    hawke scopes. how are they?

I have an AirMax 4-16x50 SFP that I originally got for my springer, but transferred to the Avenger. Great scope overall. Clear and a very solid scope so far. Only thing I've found for a "con" is the minimum parallax setting. Set on 10yds, it'll shoot crazy low. Turn it up to 25 yds and above...

Where to get a 6.8L or 9L tanks refilled?

Dive/scuba shops can fill them (for a price). Actually, if you're shooting a smaller capacity pistol, hand pumping might be an option.

Come on out to the shop for a minute. Lotta pix.

Sometimes, looking back on my early life, I wish I had went the route of machinist instead of welder. Don't know if I would have made any more $$, but would sure be fun to be able to make cool stuff in my now old age..

    New .22 Air Venturi Avenger...

Honestly, I've never had any leak, or reg creep issues with my Avenger. I parked it with 2k psi in it 3 weeks ago (weather went to crap), and it's still setting right there on 2k psi. Beginning to think I got extremely lucky with it as it's never shown any of the common issues people talk about.

    Stock Avenger Picatinny Issues

The factory rail on mine worked alright. Picatinny mounts fit and it shot straight enough, but yeah, it looked kind of "cheap" given the double Pic/DT setup. I've since swapped it for a Saber Tactical rail (which is a work of art), hoping the weather moderates enough next week that I can get out...

    Hawke or Aztec..

The Airmax 30 SF turrets are MRAD.

    Hawke or Aztec..

Thank you all for the input! It looks like I'll be staying with the Hawke.

    Hawke or Aztec..

Ok, was a thought. Aztec is more of a smaller company I think as they only have 3-4 scope models. They have good individual reviews (and are springer rated), but I'll stick with the known quality in Hawke. Thank you!

    Hawke or Aztec..

Looking at the Hawke Airmax 30 SF 4-16x50, or the Aztec Emerald 5.5-25x50 for my Beeman R9 springer. Both are FFP, both are the exact same price, both "look" the same on the spec sheets (other than the magnification differences), both have a good warranty. Has anyone used both? Are there any...

    Mount and Zeroing Problem..

Oh yeah, I’m going to keep it. Notch it out, repaint the notch, and probably use it on the next scope. Here’s what it did when I sighted it with the Leapers. The low one and one of the other lower holes was totally my fault. I had the process backwards in my mind, but after realizing what was...
