What is the reason that Walther has discontinued the LGV and LGU air rifles?

The LGU is still being sold in the European continent and I have not read anything in the UK about the two models being discontinued. I will ask a few questions as I have an LGU. A rifle of build quality and exceptional accuracy.

What Scope for Very Senior Citizen Who Is A Dairy Farm Pester?

Im a septuagenarian so I understand your problems. The scope I use is a Nikko Sterling Diamond 1-4x24 30mm on Sportsmatch LOP39C one piece mount It has a Red or Green illuminated centre dot, or a black dot when turned off. Turrets - per click = 1/8" at 25yards. Most of my shots are at rats...

    wadcutters for pesting

I get exactly the same post impact reaction from the rats I shoot, all head shots at 10-25yds shooting with Umarex 7.4gram Mostquito flat heads from my sub 12 LGU .177 springer. Ive used the same pellets inside barns on rats and doves without damage to the roof, the flat head target...

Walther LGU Varmint .22 underlever - droop mount required?

Agreed. No droop at all, infact the whole rifle is as perfect as could be, one holeing at 18yds straight from the box, believe me you will not be disappointed. Nikko 30mm scope and a Sportmatch OP39C one piece mount made be English precision toolmakers for a rock solid connection.

    Vortex 2.5-10X32?

My aiming point on rats is the eye and all that have attended my feeder have all been eliminated, no misses and just one twitcher. I am expecting an illuminated reticle will help me in low light against the dark background of my barn. At present Im using a late '70's Japanese made 4x30 scope...

    .22 LGV's Redemption Song

It seem logical that a pellet that is (genuinely) made in the same country as the gun should be more consistent than a mass produced Chinese pellet sold globally under various brand names. Spring guns are by design a one shot kill which to me means precision equipment and a high degree of...

    .22 LGV's Redemption Song

I have an LGU in 177, same barrel as the V. I did some serious research into the best pellets for accuracy and it seemed pellet diameter was one critical factor. In no particular order these were found to the most accurate by users. H&N Field Target Trophy 8.64grain ,56gm domed head (also...

    Why I prefer a Springer.

Practicality. A spring gun, ammunition, pick-up, load and fire, end of. Store it for a day, a week, a year, a decade, it will still work how I want it, when I want it. That is why I use a sping gun.

What are Chinese people using, air gun bullets?

Hi and welcome. You are not alone, in Europe we must also register when we stay in a hotel in another EU country. Hotels copy our passport and send it to the Police. Our gun ownership laws are very strict. Police licences for any gun above 12ft lbs, all guns kept in a steel cabinet...

First FOX 🦊 ever, and with an airgun! (Graphic)

Well done. Get one in the winter and the skin makes into two pairs of warm ladies gloves. In the UK we cure the brush in methylated spirits and mount it with a silver collet and ring.

    Favorite Spring Gun? and Why?

Greenarrow, flat head pellets are the standard for competition such as the Olympics, at short range on rats and squirrels they deliver sufficient energy to ensure a clean kill without the fear it will go right through and perhaps cause secondary damage. --- I hope Ive not broken any rules but...

    Hogzilla Down!
