High-quality, Lightweight, Side focus, Mildot ???

The "turret styling" is why I decided I did not care for the Discovery scopes. I liked most everything else. But the Disco scope I had, was so bulky in the turret area, the scope dwarfed the receiver of the airgun.

Any suggestions for a compact scope?

This is the best glass I have used on a springer rated scope in a while. And it is VERY short and lightweight. The compact Discovery is neat. But it is only compact in total length. The scope itself is bulky, and overly heavy for a compact scope. ...

Any stock springers kick harder than a Crow Magnum?

Well, I understood Webley Patriot , lol. I had two of them, when they were branded Beeman Kodiaks. Kicked hard as hell, but I had my Crow Mag at that time. The Kodiak didn't kill the scopes the Crow Mag did. Nice guns when tuned !

    Athlon Argos 6-24x50 ffp $299

I absolutely LOVE my Argos scope. I guess my eyes are not good enough for critical evaluation. Because I find these scopes perfectly clear and bright. I can not imagine needing a more expensive scope than these. And I agree Hookster … I hate illuminated reticles when they place a "bump" on the...

Any stock springers kick harder than a Crow Magnum?

I wonder if there was something wrong with it ? I have owned three of them, and found them tame on scopes compared to my Crow Magnums. I had forgotten the Dual Magnums. I only shot two of them in my years. My RWS 56 is extensively tuned, and extremely smooth for 24 fpe, but it killed a Burris...

Any stock springers kick harder than a Crow Magnum?

I have owned 4 different R1s. They are not even in the same conversation with the Crow Mag/Eliminator, in regards to kicking. But man how I LOVE an R1 !!! Especially with a full power Vortek kit. Even more with a retro fitted gas ram ! Heaven to shoot. The Rx1 and RX2 also kick harder than an...

Any stock springers kick harder than a Crow Magnum?

When considering factory stock springers, I have not shot one which kicks harder than the Crow Magnum, or is rougher on scopes. Does anyone have any other opinions about scope killing airguns which may be ever worse than the Crow Magnum ?

Do Beeman silver jets exist anymore?

I want to open my two boxes SOOO badly! But I just really want to literally look at them again. They were so neat looking when I used to use them, circa late 80s. But I do not have either caliber air rifle, so I really only bought them as collectables. The temptation is always there however, LOL

    Disovery scope battery size ?

LOL … I'm in town now. But I found 3 of those exact batteries in my extra ( junk ) drawer. Works as advertised.

    Disovery scope battery size ?

My scope does not seem to have a battery, and the instruction book doesn't even mention illuminated features, anywhere in it. Can anyone tell me what size battery I should buy for it? Thank you PS; If it matters, this is a 30mm HD scope. Battery mounts in the side turret.

Thank you SO much James, and Joe ! This needs to be taught to airgunners. I can not tell you how many buds that have shot one of my airguns all day. and never realized it on;y focused down to twenty five yards. There is a lot of airgunners who are missing out on a lot of good scopes, just...

You make the best point of all. I challenge anyone to make a shot with their hyper expensive scope, which they can't also make with a $300 scope. At no more than say, 120 yds. If we were talking distances over say 700 yds, then I would not feel the same at all. I'll buy a Nightforce when I...
