Brocock Concept XR 1 year review

This is an awesome and thorough review of the Brocock Concept XR Harv24. I love the transition of your Concept over the last year. You've basically made it your own version. I feel the same way about the rifle and I have no regrets purchasing it 2 months ago. It is my first PCP acquisition and...

    Hand pump?

It's a white colour plastic seal. Luckily the pump came with an extra one. What I do now with any new pump is hand tighten the pressure gauge first and if there's any leak during the pressure test, I'll lightly tighten with the provided spanner or wrench.

    PCP rifle recommendation under 36"

Since money is not a major hindrance and you'll be hand pumping the 22cal PCP that's under 36" in length, I would recommend the Huma regulated Brocock Concept XR. It has a 150cc air cylinder; meaning it's hand pump friendly. I refill from 140BAR to 240BAR in less than 5 minutes of pumping...

    Hand pump?

Yeah, I always check my spam e-mails just in case a message went there. When you thread these pressure gauges onto the base of the pump, make sure not to overtighten them. I cracked the gasket in one of my pumps because I overtightened.

    Hand pump?

My GX,H4 pump came with a defective seal on the pressure gauge. When I did the pressure test, it spewed glycerin all over the carpet as the black, rubber plug on the gauge dislodged with the high pressure. I contacted Amazon and sent them pictures and they said that the gauge was a defect...

    Four Uncles Hand Pump Issue

My sentiments as well. I know one day I will have to take the whole pump apart and these videos will be my saving grace. It doesn't surprise me as they failed to add water or coolant in the pump. I bought a Vevor pump to be the back-up to my Four Uncles, but it spewed glycerin from the...

    Hand pump?

Yes, it's pretty easy once you attain the correct technique by locking your elbows on the downstroke and dropping all your body weight as you descend with the added knee bend. I struggled at the beginning when I first started pumping because I was using the wrong technique. Mind you, my PCP...

    Hand pump?

The more I use this new pump, the more i'm liking it. It's a bit heavier than the other made in China pumps, but less strokes are required to top up. The pump feels very sturdy and solid and it's become my number one go to pump. The Four uncles pump has become the back-up. Funny thing is...

    Four Uncles Hand Pump Issue

Thank-you members for the quick and informative response and diagram. I went back and unscrewed the whole outer tube mechanism from the base to get to the brass like valve with the o-ring that I had cleaned previously. After removing the o-ring, I inspected it and noticed the top side, inner...

    Four Uncles Hand Pump Issue

I actually have both of these videos on my laptop. Coby just talks about disassembly, cleaning, lubing, refilling coolant, and reassembly. What did you do to your pump to stop the outer tube from rising? My other pump(GX, H4 Hand Pump) doesn't do this.

    Four Uncles Hand Pump Issue

Recently my Four Uncles hand pump has been acting up. When I go to pump up the PCP, air is going into the gun's air cylinder, but my pumps outer tube ; the one with the attached handle rises up the shaft when I stop pumping in order to check the gauge pressure. It rises about a foot or so...

Mine was a 4X power Tasco that didn't last long.

what came with my hand pump ?

make sure to change these filters when they build up with oil and other deposits otherwise you'll have a difficult time pumping up your gun; especially when you get past 3,000 psi.

    Ready for My First PCP

Awesome. You're going down a new rabbit hole. I purchased my first PCP 2 months ago and haven't looked back.

What's everyone use to fill their PcP's

Since the air cylinder on my Brocock is only 150 cc, I use a high pressure hand pump. Only requires 85 strokes in less than 5 minutes to top it back up to 240 Bar from 140Bar. That'll give me 43 accurate & consistent shots.
