    New Field Target Rifle

I thought that most Field Target matches used .177 because on some targets the hole is only a 1/4" wide. That would make using a .22 very difficult.

    FX Radar

The FX unit is $199 from Utah Air Guns. I believe that's the MSRP from FX.

    HOT CARS

If I've done the calculations correctly here's something to think about. A carbon fibre tank at 4500PSI is 310bar at 68F. Now, if you raise the temperature to 140F (not an impossible temp in the summer) the pressure in the tank goes to 352 bar or 5,105PSI. I'll not store my stuff in my car at all.

    FX Radar

I believe I read the top speed that can be recorded was 1200 or 1300 FPS. So, it would work for handguns, but not rifles. EDIT: Just checked FX's site and they do state 1300FPS and could work with powder burners up to that speed.

    Denver Colorado Area

When I lived just outside of Boulder, I moved three years ago, there was a dive shop in Boulder that filled my tank.

    .25 scoring gauge

During my search today I came across TargetScan which is a app for phones which claims to do the scoring for a wide range of targets. The app is $18 from the Apple Store (there's also a version for Android). I'm thinking that might work well for me since the application also allows one to add...

    I'll do that. Thanks.

    .25 scoring gauge

The only reason I thought distance might come into play is like how it does with high power shooting which starts at 200 yards. I went to an introduction type match were we shot M1 Garands and there wasn't any need for scoring gauges as the rings were quite large. So, my thinking was that if...

    .25 scoring gauge

Does anyone make a .25 cal scoring gauge? I've found .177, .22, .32, etc.. Or is that not an issue for benchrest matches allowing .25 because the ranges are all 50+ yards and there's no issue scoring the targets. I've not yet had the pleasure of shooting in an airgun benchrest match, but have...

Thanks Spysir, I found the map and added myself. At least currently there's nobody in my neck of the woods.

Welcome to AIRGUN NATION - please introduce yourself here!

My name is Rick. I've been shooting with an AirArms PCP rifle for a few years. I started with airguns when finding .22lr became almost impossible and finding powder to reload very difficult. I found the challenge of shooting an airgun very enjoyable and hope to continue. Now if I can just find...
